Continuity mistake: When Jon Favreau talks on the phone for the first time, there is an answering machine next to it. Then when we see the phone system again the answering machine is gone. Then Jon walks into the next room and when he walks back the whole phone system is gone. (00:04:30)
Mikey (John Favreau) finally gets back in the game and meets a woman named Lorraine (Heather Graham), who irnoically acts a lot like him. The next day Mikey gets a call from Lisa asking to get back together at the same time Lorraine calls. Mikey makes the decision to hang up on Lisa and go on with his life with Lorraine.

Trent: I don't want you to be the guy in the PG-13 movie everyone's *really* hoping makes it happen. I want you to be like the guy in the rated R movie, you know, the guy you're not sure whether or not you like yet. You're not sure where he's coming from. Okay? You're a bad man.
Trivia: The last scene of the movie, where Trent sees a woman who he thinks is making faces at him when she's really looking at her baby, was taken from an actual event that happened to Vince Vaughn in an airport, only it was with a man (and Vaughn was freaked out by it, not playing along like in the film.).
