Continuity mistake: As Steve and Mike are leaving in the police car, Mike turns and puts his arm back as he looks back to start driving in reverse as Steve waves to his wife. It cuts to an angle from behind his wife as Steve puts his arm down, but then Mike turns and looks back again a second time in this shot to start backing up. (00:20:35)
Character mistake: As the other cops get to Mike and Steve, the lady cop stands and starts shooting at the mercs with her assault rifle, which appears to be an M16 variant. It is obvious the actress playing the cop has no idea how to actually hold a weapon, as it's resting right up against her cheek with the butt of the rifle barely against her shoulder at all, and she has her eye right up against the sights where it would slam her in the eye with recoil. (00:58:15)
Continuity mistake: When Steve is telling Kenny to run as fast as he can to the other side of the police car, you can see the front passenger door is still wide open where Kenny got out. It cuts to a shot of the merc firing at them and in the distance you can see the police car, but now the door is closed. Also the windows in the car are miraculously undamaged for being in a shoot out lasting several minutes. (00:46:55)
Character mistake: Mike and Steve try to get Kenny out of their squad car while under fire. The driver side of the car is fully protected as it's the passenger side that the merc is shooting at. Mike tries to open the back door on the driver side but says it's stuff and asks Steve to get Kenny out on his side... where the merc is shooting. Kenny crawls to the front of the car, they open up the passenger door and Steve pulls him out. Mike then asks if they can get Kenny around to his side. Only while he's asking this you can see the front door on Mike's side is wide open. Kenny could easily have just gotten out that way and out of the line of fire. He even crawled to the front seats but got out on Steve's side instead of the open door on Mike's side where it was safe. (00:46:30)
Revealing mistake: Once Steve gets out of the police car and start shooting at the first merc, the merc hides behind a payphone. Many of Steve's shots can be seen sparking off the payphone that the merc is using to take cover behind, however not one single bullet hole or dent ever appears. (00:46:00)
Continuity mistake: Once the mercs start to shoot at Mike's squad car, they back up quickly and there is a close up of the passenger front tire being shot out and blown. A couple of shots later as they are driving backwards off some parking spots, the tire is perfectly fine. Also the damage to the vehicle appears to lessen. (00:42:50)
Continuity mistake: Interpol agent Sarah approaches a location given to her by the arms dealer trying to find the armed mercs that gunned down the team at the start of the film. As she sneaks up to the door and is peaking in, her gun is holstered on her hip visibly with nothing in her hands. This by itself is a stupid mistake for any police agent to approach the location of a suspected killer merc team without the gun at the ready. When she steps inside and walks into a room, it suddenly shows her holding her gun in her hand. (00:31:45)
Continuity mistake: At the police station, there is a close up of a cup popping down out of a coffee machine as it starts to be filled. The cup is turned so the logo isn't showing. But in the next shot as a lady cop reaches to pull it out, the cup is turned so the logo is facing out towards the camera. (00:26:25)
Continuity mistake: When Steve is leaving his home to get into the squad car with Mike, he starts putting on his jacket. As he's walking alongside the car, he pulls it up over his left shoulder after his right arm was already in. It then cuts to a close up and he's pulling it over his left shoulder again. (00:20:20)
Other mistake: At the starting shoot out, a sniper using a 50 Caliber rifle takes a shot at a guy behind a car window and the bullet barely puts a set of cracks in the glass, and not even a visible hole. The weapon appears to be Barrett M107, a very powerful rifle. Other times during this shootout the rifle is seen blowing windows completely apart on other vehicles. (00:03:10)
Continuity mistake: At the scene of the first shootout, Major Moss is looking at the Construction CEO's passport and speaking, looking down at it. When it cuts to a different angle as the guy next to him asks "War profiteering?", the Major is suddenly looking straight ahead at the female Interpol agent in front of him. (00:09:05)
Factual error: The vehicles in the convoy are supposed to be armored since the bullet fired by 50 BMG was absorbed into the glass. First off the vehicles are standard, not up armored since the windows are standard factory and not thick ones used in up-armored cars. The highest rated armored car is B7 which will stop armor piercing not 50 BMG. Also, the windows completely shatter after being shot out; armored windows will never shatter, they stick together and chip off. (00:03:00 - 00:05:00)
