(5 votes)

Ray, played by Nicolas Cage, is a man who is on the run from his past after the death of his little girl. He and his wife make a deal with a mysterious old man and buy a motel to run as their own business. But as they get settled in, strange things begin to happen as the town becomes creepy.

Ray then discovers that there is a tunnel leading from the pool service room to behind a one way mirror that allows him to spy in on the guests of room 10. He starts off spying on a trucker with his various prostitutes and then a lesbian dominatrix having her way with another woman. But when that other woman turns up dead on the news, and a dead pig is found in the motel's pool, things really start to turn dark as Ray struggles to put all the pieces together, save his marriage, and try to stay sane.

Visible crew/equipment: Once Ray uses the bolt cutters to open the door to the swimming pool service room, he walks in down a hallway illuminated from behind by the light coming in. As he is walking the camera follows him and you can see faintly the shadow of the cameraman on the wall as they move. (00:14:20)
