Plot hole: When the game goes into Sudden Death, the teams are seen taking a brief timeout at the benches. The only problem here is: during the Stanley Cup playoffs, whenever a game heads into OT, the ice has to be resurfaced and both teams are sent to the dressing room. If this had happened, the Penguins would certainly have noticed that their dressing room was bullet-riddled from the fight that occurred earlier and would have - at the very least - figured something was up.

A poorly acted absurd ripoff of Die Hard.
Vice President: You have no idea of the complexity.
Joshua Foss: I had an idea, I had this idea, and we are gonna make it work or we're gonna die trying. You will call the President, and on flash precedence priority, he will call the Secretary of State and the Secretary of the Treasury. Then banks will be notified, and the money will begin to move. Or it won't. And if it doesn't, when the game ends, everyone in this box and in this arena will die by explosion, fire and panic.
Trivia: One of the bad guys is playing the video game "Doom", which was released two years prior to the film for MS-DOS.
