New, different, exciting. ALMOST a 5-star effort. I just wish that it had been a little more obvious that the two main characters had been replaced by "shimmer" replicas and were now out in the world. I had to rewatch the end of the movie again to figure this out, but then it made me shiver.
I own this movie on DVD.
This is definitely a movie that begs to be watched more than once. I had seen it when it came out, and just watched it again with my dad.
This is a beautifully designed film with a world that warps and changes before your very eyes. A sci-fi mind bending film that will leave you thinking and probably confused. This is another one of those films where it is very difficult to talk about without spoilers, and honestly you should go into this blind if you can. Just know it isn't for everybody, and for sure a think piece.
There are a few things I didn't like, but again I can't really speak of them without spoilers. And there are a few horror elements in this film, resulting in one of the scariest things I have ever seen on screen.
