Spectral (2016)

Plot hole: It is stated that the "specters" are actually made up of Bose-Einstein Condensate, and that they are so exceedingly cold, they instantly kill whoever they touch, presumably via shock. This is all good and well, except that if they are so cold that they could instantly kill a person, there should be physical signs of their exceedingly low temperature around them or at very least on their victims. If nothing else, at least some frost buildup around them when they stop for more than a few moments or discoloration on the skin of the dead.

Clyne: My business requires us to prove them. Your technician's job is to find glitches, so, he sees glitches. Your job is to find the enemy, so, you see the enemy. Locals believe in spirits, so they see spirits. Everyone is biased in one way or another. So, my answer to you right now is that we lack data to support any theory.

Trivia: The film was originally produced by Universal pictures in association with Legendary Pictures with a planned theatrical release date in Summer, 2016. The film was then pushed back to a Fall release, before Universal suddenly opted to pull out of the project. Legendary subsequently sold the rights to Netflix, where it debuted as a Netflix Original Movie.
