Continuity mistake: When Tim and the baby are tugging over the tablecloth, Tim's meal and drink have vanished from the table.
Continuity mistake: When Tim is playing space invaders and walks into the kitchen, various baby objects can shown behind him. After he takes a look at the fridge and claims that it's worse than he thought it was, nothing can be seen behind him, as if he walked into an empty kitchen.
Deliberate mistake: Jimbo gets shot in the front with three plastic arrows on his chest when protecting Boss Baby, but they just suddenly vanish. A scene later, Tim shoots him completely in the back, but Jimbo is covered in arrows from the front and back. There was nowhere near enough time for him to turn around, and Tim had already stopped firing to grab the cassette tape.
Other mistake: When Boss Baby drools on the file at Puppy Co. he is not nearly close enough for the drool to hit the file.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie, Boss Baby's eyes change color.
Continuity mistake: When The Boss Baby gets out from the taxi, the camera angle shows that there's a lot of leaves dropped from the tree above it, however, 2 or 3 scenes later, when he's dancing, there's one scene where the camera zooms on half of his face and the leaves that were dropped earlier are gone.
Continuity mistake: When Tim's dad is asking him if he would like a baby brother he is sat next to him on the bed, when Tim replies his dad is standing up, when the camera show the bed again his dad is sat down again.
Continuity mistake: When the Boss Baby and Tim are on the airplane Tim plays with a Pez dispenser. The Pez dispenser is red, but when Tim picks it up off the floor it is blue.
Answer: Tim is shown to have an extremely active imagination, so he probably just imagined the whole Baby Corp and Puppy Co plots as a way of dealing with the arrival of a new (real) baby brother.
