Question: In the scene where Zack visits Laney in her basement while she's painting her mother, what is the song being played in the background? Unless I completely missed it, it cannot be found in the credits nor on a soundtrack. It would be great to know this song.
Question: Sarah Michelle Gellar's cameo appearance in the cafeteria seems pretty random. Was she intended to have any more scenes, that were perhaps deleted from the final cut of the movie?
Question: There are two actress' I can't place and I am sure I have seen them somewhere before. I am not sure of their characters names but one of them i assume is Zach's sister, with the brown hair who goes to Ashley's as she has a cute brother and the other one is the blonde girl who was one of the girls who told Laney that it'd be better for her art if she committed suicide. Can anyone tell me their names and what else they have been in?
Answer: Zach's sister is Anna Paquin. She's been in tons of stuff like Almost Famous and she's the kid in The Piano, but she's mostly known as Rogue in the X-Men movies. The 'other one' is Clea DuVall who's been in 21 Grams and Girl, Interrupted. She was also the girl who disappears in a first season episode of Buffy. Stick the names into the IMDB to find out more.
Question: Can anyone please tell me what is the song, and the artist/band playing during the movie credits? Thank you.
Answer: If you're talking about the opening credits, it's "Prophecy" by Remy Zero. If you're talking about the end credits, it's "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer followed by "Prophecy." Although, in the opening credits, they skip the first "verse" of the song.
Question: Why would the bullies even do what Zack tells them to do? They could easily beat him.
Answer: They might be able to beat him in a fight, but Zack is by far the most popular boy on campus. Fighting him would make them social outcasts. In addition, it is a movie cliche to show bullies exposed as cowards when they are directly confronted by someone with confidence.
Answer: The appearance was a cameo only. It was not that random though, as the scene was shot at a location also used for Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Sarah Michelle Gellar's husband appears in the movie.
