Continuity mistake: When it shows Dwight and Theo together, Dwight goes to the stairs, and starts to climb up on his own, and Theo covers him. In one shot, as it shows Theo holding her gun out, there is a clock by her, and the time is 9:10. But when the shot changes, and Theo asks Dwight "Do you need help" the time has changed to 9:45. Continuity mistake: The amount of potatoes varies on the butler's (Chris Elliot) hand from shot to shot during the dinner scene. (00:22:55)
Continuity mistake: The purple grapes around the turkey platter disappear then reappear. (00:23:25)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy rubs Buddy in the cold chamber, in one shot Cindy says "...and you're gonna have lots of little babies..." and behind Buddy's head, a black towel can be seen. It isn't there is any of the following shots, and wasn't there in any of the previous shots either. (00:57:45)
Continuity mistake: When the character played by Kathereen Robertson walks into the dining room and asks the guys to get her a seat, Buddy places a seat right in front of her yet in the next scene, two chairs slide up to her followed by a wheelchair and Buddy seems to have teleported into a different room altogether. Continuity mistake: When they are being given out the goggles and guns, Brenda asks, "Do we have some walkie-talkies or something?" Then Dwight takes the cups out of the cupboard and suddenly they have been given out. (00:47:30)
Continuity mistake: At the very end, when Cindy meets Hanson at the hot dog stand, look in the background. A guy with a yellow shirt and white trousers walks from right to left twice. (01:10:50)
Continuity mistake: If you watch closely during the dinner scene, as all of them get up you see Tori Spelling stand up. A second later you see her stand up again and throw her napkin down. (00:25:15)
Continuity mistake: When Buddy chucks a rugby ball at Cindy, Cindy falls into a table, then crashes to the floor. Then Buddy runs to Cindy and picks up his rugby ball which is laying beside her. But the ball wasn't there in the previous shot of her on the floor. (00:27:15)
Continuity mistake: When Dwight is in the laboratory, during the whole scene of Dwight giving out the guns, goggles and dixie cups, items keep appearing then disappearing on the shelf above the shelf with the goggles on. (00:46:30 - 00:48:00)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, after the ghost is defeated, you see far away shots of Buddy, Brenda, and Kathleen Robertson's character standing together. From far away, Kathleen is on the end, and Buddy is in the middle. However, whenever the shot changes to a close-up of the three of them, Kathleen is now in the middle, and Buddy is on the end. Continuity mistake: During the night, Ray is wearing a white singlet with a silver jersey over the top, Brenda is wearing a white tank top and Buddy is wearing a red T-shirt. When it cuts to the scene where Shorty is smoked by a giant majauana plant, Ray, Brenda and Buddy storm in with their casual clothing. Why would they need to change again? (00:39:45)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy and Ray are sitting and conversing in front of their college, you'll notice in one shot a strand of hair is not perfectly tucked behind her ear, and when the show her again it is. This continually changes throughout the scene.
Continuity mistake: When the skeleton climbs out of the furnace, in one shot there's nothing on its shoulders and then big lumps of white ash appear on them in the next shot. (00:49:20)
Continuity mistake: When Cindy has to revive Buddy in the freezer, he "lets go" all over the window behind her. Moments later the glass is perfectly clear again. (01:00:00)
Continuity mistake: During the scene where the clown attacks Brandon under the bed, the pink pillow that's by the headboard when he was doing push-ups is now down in front of the other pillows when he gets dragged under the bed. (00:35:30)
Continuity mistake: Brenda's braids differ from hanging over/behind her shoulder, when she talks dirty to Ray. (00:32:00)
Continuity mistake: On the DVD in one of the deleted scenes where Shorty gets his head cut open, at the beginning of the scene it is already cut open. Then, when Hanson goes to take out his brain, the blood is gone and he re-cuts his head open. (01:02:30)
Continuity mistake: When the guy in the wheelchair falls out the window, in the next scene he's back in the house. Weren't they all locked in the house? How did he get back in and not let anyone out in the process? (01:00:35)
Continuity mistake: In the "exorcist" scene, the collar on Meagen's nightgown disappears and reappears between shots.
