Continuity mistake: When Doc turns the time circuits on as he is about to head over to the high school, the 'Destination Time' is under 'Last Time Departed', but in the next shot, it is back to being over it like normal. It should also be noted that the month is represented by a number in the first shot, but with letters in the second. Additionally, one of the LED's is burnt out in the first, but is back to being lit in the second. (01:23:30)

Goode, you can hear the 1955 Marty saying "this is a blues riff in B, watch me for the changes and try to keep up" through the microphone. Continuity mistake: During the dance hall scene, the first half of the guitar solo Marty plays (before the Eddie Van Halen section) is completely different to the one he plays in the original film. Continuity mistake: When Marvin Berry leaves the stage to call his cousin Chuck Berry, in Back to the Future II he stops and walks around a ladder that Mary climbed to get on the catwalk over the stage. Watch Back to the Future I and when he is talking on the phone there is no ladder behind him. In fact, that whole scene is different. The desk is different along with the phone and Marvin has his back to the stage in II whereas in I he is facing the stage. (01:26:09)
Continuity mistake: When Marty is at the dance in the first film, the room that the band leader rings his cousin from is on the right, but in this film the room is on the left. (01:26:09)
Continuity mistake: Notice Marty's hair in the scene when he's playing "Johnny B. Goode." It's quite larger than when he says, some seconds later, "I guess that you're not ready for it yet." That's because when he says that, it's a recycled shot from the original BTTF, whereas most shots showing he's playing the guitar are newly made for BTTF2. Continuity mistake: In the scene after Marty is leaving the school hall after his performance, Lorraine and George bump into him backstage and Lorraine says, 'Marty that was very interesting m... music' with a stutter. Other mistake: In the scene where Biff confronts Marty outside the swinging doors while Marty is watching himself talk to his 1955 Mom and Dad, you can see that Crispin Glover (George McFly) has been replaced with Jeffrey Weissman. There are other scenes where you can tell it isn't him, but this is the most prominent one. Glover wasn't in the 2nd movie due to him and the producers not agreeing to a movie contract. All the scenes you see him clearly were taken from the first film. (i.e. where Marty is looking at him through the binoculars at the dance). (01:27:59)

Revealing mistake: As Doc drops Marty off behind Biff's car, the camera pans across the DeLorean, and we can see Christopher Lloyd has been replaced by a stunt driver. The stuntman can be seen trying to obscure his face. (01:30:26)
Revealing mistake: When the DeLorean is flying behind Biff's car, you can see the wheels of the DeLorean rolling along the ground. This is evident when the car turns to fly away after Marty is deposited on the back of Biff's car. (01:30:28)
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Doc Brown is following Biff into the tunnel, as Marty starts to pass between the cars on his hoverboard, one of the wheels on the rig supporting the hovering DeLorean is visible. (01:30:30)
Continuity mistake: When Doc drives Marty up behind Biff, just before they enter the tunnel and Marty grabs Biff's car, you see Doc acknowledge Marty and then turn off left, but as the camera pans back you see the car veer to the right. (01:30:45)

Continuity mistake: When Marty gets the sports almanac in the tunnel, he flies on the wall with his left foot in the hover-board's strap. When he flies over the car and lands on the hover-board, his right foot is in the strap of the board. After that it keeps switching legs and in or out of the strap. (01:33:00)
Revealing mistake: When Marty goes to burn the almanac he flips the hover-board to his hand. The board begins to flip up before Marty touches it and even so, he doesn't touch it at all, he steps his foot behind it. (01:35:19)
Continuity mistake: When Doc travels to 1885, Marty stands on the road holding a rope and says "He's gone." When the angle changes, the length of the rope sticking out is much shorter. (01:38:03)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, when Doc is running down the street after the DeLorean has gone back to 1985, the neon changes from red to yellow. It was red in both 1955 and 1985 in the first film. (01:41:34)

He was first seen playing it very well in the first Back To The Future movie when he was trying out for the school dance.
