The Replacements

Continuity mistake: In the first game that they play, the Sentinels receive the kickoff, the shot of the guy catching the ball was from a far away view, then on the next kick off its an up close view of the player catching the ball but if you notice, the player does the exact same thing in both catches. Which means that they put the same catch in there, just different views of it.

Continuity mistake: In the final game, the running back hurts his knee. Two plays after that, Reeves is running with the ball. Throughout the run, the ball switches back and forth from being carried in his left arm to his right arm.

Continuity mistake: Watch the Chinese spare rib in Jamal Jackson's hand while he, his brother Andre, Jumbo, and Nigel are eating after the first practice. He throws it down, then in his next shot, he is eating it again, then it switches to an overhead, where he's not eating, then you see him again with it back in his hand.

Continuity mistake: When the placekicker sets up for the long field goal, they show him flick his cigarette away and blow smoke twice. Once after he has initially set up, then again after they cut to the guys he owes money watching him on TV.

Continuity mistake: When Nigel kicks a man, in one shot his hand is on his head, but in the very next shot it isn't.

Continuity mistake: When Nigel, the Welsh place kicker for the Sentinels, sets up to make his first field goal for 65 yards, he is shown in a close-up with his helmet chin-strap buckled properly. The camera cuts away from him to the ball, then back to him where his chin-strap is dangling loose on his helmet, cuts away again to the ball, and finally back to him a third time where his chin-strap is once again buckled properly.

Jimmy McGinty: When the Washington Sentinels left the stadium that date, there was no tickertape parade, no endorsement deals for sneakers or soda pop, or breakfast cereal. Just a locker to be cleaned out, and a ride home to catch. But what they didn't know, was that their lives had been changed forever because they had been part of something great. And greatness, no matter how brief, stays with a man. Every athlete dreams of a second chance, these men lived it.

Trivia: The movie is supposed to be in Washington D.C. Starting with the 1997 season, Washington moved from RFK stadium in DC to a stadium in Landover, MD. So the movie was filmed in Baltimore, MD. They used Camden Yards, Orioles stadium, and the stadium where the Ravens play.

Question: During practice, why couldn't Bateman tackle anybody who wore red?

Answer: Traditionally, in football practices, the quarterback is the only one who wears a red shirt/jersey. This is so he is easy to spot. You aren't supposed to tackle the quarterback in practice because it's very bad if he gets hurt.
