Revealing mistake: When Gwen catches Max's elevator in a rush, she clutches to her chest the same mug that when she went through the door was practically horizontal. Luckily it's one of those movie empty mugs people carry for no reason. There's a similar scene the day after when she carries an empty mug - a different one, incidentally - but that's when she is running away from the security and the mug is supposed to be empty. Continuity mistake: When Max holds the cables and sings happy birthday to himself, the position of his left-hand changes, from more distant to the ring of the connector in the view from underneath, and closer to it in the other angle. (00:36:10)
Continuity mistake: At the board meeting, Harry is playing with his father's electronic seal in a way that displays towards the camera the side with the Oscorp logo. But there are two different camera angles from opposite sides, it can't be facing both at the same time. (00:36:55)
Continuity mistake: When Harry at the board meeting sarcastically paraphrases the Connors incident mentioning the "giant lizards" you can see Felicia Hardy in background is writing down things, but she isn't in the previous shot. (00:37:05)
Continuity mistake: At the meeting, Harry says "What was Dad thinking?" The lawyer with the purple bowtie is looking at him, hands off the table, but in the next shot he has both hands on it. Same a few seconds later when Harry says "Hi" to Felicia; hands on the table first, off the table in the reverse angle. (00:37:35)
Continuity mistake: Harry Osborn says at the business meeting that everyone will work for Felicia; Felicia's hand position in close-up is egregiously different from the one she has in the view of the table. (00:38:30)
Continuity mistake: When Peter and Harry chat by the river and Peter jumps to the other side of the railing, his left hand is either atop or below the railing, depending on the shot. (00:41:30)
Continuity mistake: The two friends are chatting from opposite sides of the riverside railing. Peter says "Yeah"; look at the folded hat in his pocket. Next shot, he adds "I don't know" and the cloth is wrapped in a different way than before. (00:41:30)
Continuity mistake: Playing with stones by the river (the GPS coordinates on scree are a perfect match for Pebble beach), Harry says "I tried to forget everything about this place." Peter is scratching his chin, but in the next shot his hand is nowhere near his face or even in frame. (00:42:05)
Continuity mistake: When Peter spots Gwen on the street he stops a truck that stops 20 cm away from him. When the angle changes the truck is further back. (00:45:40)
Other mistake: When Peter jaywalks to meet Gwen just after Max is reborn as Electro, a car hits him, breaking its side mirror against his amazing body. Peter does not even flinch for the hit and the mirror shatters sending sparks all over the place. As sturdy as Spider-man is, he's not made of actual solid steel. (00:45:45)
Continuity mistake: Peter and Gwen are having a spontaneous reunion. Gwen tried her new laugh on Peter, and she's laughing at his positive reception of it saying "It's not adorable." Notice by her a dude with thin framed glasses and a beige jacket that walks past them. A few seconds later when she does the nose rub thingy, the same guy is again passing them by. (00:47:15)
Other mistake: Car alarms are annoying; Electro sets off every car alarm in the street, once he silences a single one draining power off the batter, every other alarm stops too - despite the lights still flashing. Incidentally, in the rest of the movie Electro shows his power on a much larger scale but never sets off any car alarm or makes headlights blink. (00:48:35)
Continuity mistake: After Gwen says "I'll be moving to England", she takes a breath, swallows, closes her mouth, but in the next shot her mouth is open. (00:50:40)
Continuity mistake: When Electro approaches the cables in Times Square, in the overhead shot we see that the person closest to the grate he targets is standing one row away from it. The following shots are consistent with that, even if we can see that there are more people. When he opens the grate in another angle, that person is standing right next to it. And when he digs his hands into the cables, some person with khaki pants is walking across the metal grids, but he wasn't there before. (00:51:35)
Revealing mistake: Look behind the policeman when he shouts "Sir, get your hands away from the cables, right now." For absolutely no reason the extras (one in particular to the left that was looking in a different direction entirely) remembers to act scared only at the word "get", but the policeman already started shouting before, and sparks have been flying even earlier. (00:52:00)
Continuity mistake: A policeman spots the suspicious guy accessing the high voltage cables and screams "Get out of the way." There's a macroscopical continuity error here with an extra sporting a peach colored jacket that 'gets out of the way' twice in two separate shots and with completely different timing. (00:52:00)
Continuity mistake: After Electro launches Spidey against the police car, the huge dent on the door gets smaller between shots. (00:55:40)
Continuity mistake: Enraged because Spidey is being filmed by cameras, and he is not (best villain motivation ever), Electro sends a wave of electricity towards him. Spidey jumps over police car 7703 (the one that he dented landing spine-first in it earlier) but the slow-motion sequence that follows takes place featuring car 1206. (00:56:40)
Other mistake: After Electro gets the two cables on his chest, his clothes do not burn and have no marks. (00:58:05)
Suggested correction: Actually they do burn, since they emit smoke very noticeably. They don't show marks, true. One could argue that Electro does pretty weird things with his clothes in general in this movie, since he has underpants resistant to anything and his clothes of choice stay with him even when he switches from pure energy to solid form, but make of that argument what you will.
