Continuity mistake: After killing two of the bikers in the mine, and knocking the third unconscious, Dirk Pitt hands one of their guns, a P-10 automatic, to Dr Tom Ambrose. However, after Ambrose has been found out to be an imposter and has committed suicide, Dr. Pat O'Connell comments to Pitt "You knew, that's why you refused to give him a gun".
Continuity mistake: When Pitt saves Pat, Marquez and Ambrose from the flooding mine, he is wearing a DUI Norseman dry suit. However, when Pitt returns to the mine twenty-four hours later, he states his kit will be the same as before apart from this time he intends to use a dry suit.
