Continuity mistake: The first time we see the snowman in Aruba, the snowman is standing in the shade of the trees as he reaches back to grab the freezing projectile; then he is fully in the sun when he throws it. (00:58:55)

Continuity mistake: After the bad biker bites Noel, he removes the rearview mirror from the windshield and smacks the bad biker with it. However, when Noel tells Katie to drive the car, in the exterior shots as she sideswipes another car, the rearview mirror is back up on the windshield; then it's off again. (00:33:35)

Visible crew/equipment: When Ryan realises he doesn't have his magic goop during his magic show, it cuts to different families watching the livestream. When the third family is shown, the oven's reflection behind them reveals a person recording them with a smartphone. (00:03:41)

Plot hole: Given contestants were carefully checked for steroids at show time, mainly by urine tests, it seems unlikely Jackie would have been allowed to compete once her steroid use was discovered.
Suggested correction: Not at the amateur level, and not during the time period depicted in the movie.

Character mistake: Characters frequently refer to there being crocodiles living in the water. Alligators live in Florida, not crocodiles. And although they are closely related, they are not the same species.

Continuity mistake: At the gas station, Thelma and Ben are talking to random people Thelma thinks she knows. Meanwhile, her family is on the way there. The sun is going down in this sequence and it's noticeably getting darker. Before they run behind the building, it's suddenly lighter outside and gets darker again.

Other mistake: When Abbott is talking to Axel for the first time, he is flipping through a book that has files and pictures on Axel. One of them is a picture from when he got arrested after he got thrown out of the window. It is made to look like it was a picture taken of him at the time of his arrest, but it is a direct screen grab from Beverly Hills Cop.

Factual error: Someone shouts "jobsworth" at a London Underground official. This term is first recorded in 1970. The film is set in 1940.
