Character mistake: In the meeting in 1984 when Jason Bateman first appears they have players on the whiteboard in the background. They have "Hakeem Olajuwon." He didn't put the H back in his name until 1991. So it should have been "Akeem Olajuwon." (00:08:40)
Character mistake: Corinne suffers a seizure and is at the hospital with Jane at her bedside. Dr. Mitchell enters the room and, without asking what relationship Jane is to Corinne or if Corinne wants Jane to be present, proceeds to tell Corinne the results of her CT scan, referral to a neurologist, and that the hospital has a very strong oncology department. Dr. Mitchell does not take the necessary precautions to maintain Corinne's right to privacy. (00:28:16)
Character mistake: Educated, intelligent, lawyer Willie Gary tells Mame, "I have this reoccurring dream... [prosecuting a case against Johnnie Cochran]." It should be "recurring dream" - keeps happening repeatedly (over and over) as opposed to just happening again. (00:51:50)
Character mistake: At the beginning of the film, while packing, Angus justifies why he has a swimsuit that looks like woman's underwear by claiming it's the swimsuit James Bond wore in 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service,' which, in the timeline of the film, had just come out a year earlier in 1969. Except, Bond doesn't wear a swimsuit in any scenes in that film, let alone a Speedo. Angus may have been boasting (lying) to deflect criticism, but he's still wrong.
