Trivia: During the scene in King Magnifico's lab, Star accidentally enchants a quill pen which begins to write on its own. Before it stops, the pen has drawn a partial image of Mickey Mouse that resembles the Disney Channel logo.

Trivia: Zack Snyder originally intended for the movie to be an R-rated spin-off "Star Wars", but Lucasfilm wasn't interested in his ideas. It was eventually retooled into a stand-alone work.
