Continuity mistake: When Sarah fires at the jeep chasing them she brings the weapon back in with the slide in the normal position, in the next shot it is in the locked back empty position. (01:26:50)
Continuity mistake: As the "lone wolf" escapes on the bike, there's a fancy swooping camera shot which tracks him, cutting to a shot from the front just as he scythes between two dark cars and past a police car. In that quick shot a woman suddenly appears cowering by the police car who wasn't there before.
Continuity mistake: At the end, the French soldier tries to kill Paul in the wet mud. When they finish struggling and spot the pistol on the floor, the mud on Paul's face is now dried and caked on.
Continuity mistake: In the final battle, Lin Mi Sheng has her hair pinned up in a French twist. Her hair changes very frequently between shots and combat sequences. Sometimes it switches from a French twist to a slick chignon.
Character mistake: While discussing his squad providing air support for the Marines on the ground, Lt. Cmdr. Cevoli refers to the men as "soldiers." Marines are not called "soldiers" because they are not in the Army. It is common for a layperson to make this error but nobody in the U.S. Navy would do this.
Continuity mistake: When Nick and Javi switch shoes, the camera shot on the floor shows that the shoes they have already switched are on their right feet. When they switch permanently, they both give each other a right shoe.
Factual error: One of the warriors tells a trainee they move like a sloth, more than once. Sloths are only found in the "new world", not native to Africa.
Other mistake: When Jaeger is teaching Searcher how to throw. Through the scene Jaeger is handling Pando without gloves and Callisto is wearing fingerless gloves while also handling Pando. They should both have been shocked by the energy from the Pando. Jager is not immune, as he and Searcher are both shocked later by the Pando roots while using pickaxes to free the pando roots from the creature's heart later on in the movie.
Deliberate mistake: The thug wearing headphones and facing the money on the shelves did not notice that Savage forcefully opened the door several feet to his right, slamming it against the adjacent wall, or that Savage had entered the room. The bang to and vibration from the door hitting the wall should have been enough to overpower the sound from his earphones, but - even if they weren't - his peripheral vision should have sensed the door opening and Savage entering. Continuity mistake: The tattoo artist is almost finished drawing the American flag on the boy's upper right arm. After he wipes it and there's a quick camera shift, the tattoo is less complete - the stripes are bloodier, more jagged, and of unequal width like they were earlier. (00:14:31)
Continuity mistake: The night Krypto loses his powers, he gets a black eye on his left eye. However, the next day, the wound is gone.
Continuity mistake: The way Banshee's bangs are combed back vary a few times in a couple minutes (elevator fight scene). Sometimes, the left side is higher than the right side and other times the highest point is near the middle of her forehead. The "curve" at which the bangs are combed toward the right side also vary, from little to no curve to wavier toward the right. (00:06:36 - 00:07:57)
Continuity mistake: The bite marks on Doc's sandwich were inconsistent/contradictory. Doc took a corner bite out of his sandwich, then the sandwich was shown with an additional side bite mark (made off-screen?). When the sandwich was shown again, the distinctive bite marks were gone and the side of the sandwich that had been eaten was straight across. Doc was holding the sandwich in his right hand; after another camera shift, Doc was holding the sandwich in his left hand and the unique side bite mark was back. (00:18:22 - 00:18:48)
Other mistake: The positions of Isis the cat's tail (body language) did not match her facial expression/eyes when she set off the motion detectors and alarm. Isis' eyes/face had an angry/mean/annoyed look. Most views of Isis on the video monitor showed her tail in friendly/content, confident, alert, relaxed, and non-threatening positions (i.e, vertical or horizontal to the ground). The diagonally upward tail is non-threatening but maybe unsure about something. (Perhaps cartoon cats have unique body language?). (00:07:40)
Revealing mistake: The views to the right and left of the truck on the road did not flow in the manner expected if they were actually there (as opposed to using a green screen). Also, as soon as a "stop" sign could be seen to the right, the camera shifted to the driver, who kept driving as though the stop sign was not there. The structures to the right of the truck were blue but became white when the camera shifted to a front view (not using a green screen). (00:01:20)
Other mistake: James told Det Vargas he left the bar "2:30, give or take" and Vargas responded, "bar closes at 2:30 [AM]." When Star approached James at the bar, she said, "When I see a guy alone at the bar at three in the morning..." It is questionable if Detective Vargas was correct about the closing time. Traditionally, bars in L.A. closed at 2:00 AM. CA's Business and Professional Code on serving alcoholic beverages apparently now allows serving alcohol until 3:00 (not 2:30) AM - was this in effect? Continuity mistake: During the fight, Natasha got into the Ford truck's bed and kicked the tailgate open (down). Nobody closes the tailgate, but it is closed (up) when Natasha is standing behind it talking to Jimmy. The closed tailgate is visible when Jimmy is driving away after Ellis and Ask arrived. Continuity mistake: The time of day changes multiple times during the first half of the movie. When Danny is talking to Papi, Papi is outside and the sun is in the west indicating late day. In Danny's angle the sun is right overhead. There are multiple times when it is full on overcast in one angle and cloudless blue sky in the next.
Continuity mistake: Ishmael shots Karim in the right side of the stomach, but the wound moves to the left side.
Factual error: The Thief's getaway car's front license plate had "Glorious Pacific Northwest" across the top but failed to identify the State. A front and rear license plate is required in Washington (The Evergreen State). In the event this was supposed to be a vanity plate, "Washington" would still be required on the plate. (00:09:40)
