Continuity mistake: When Fenn finds the doll in the tree trunk cavity, shadows are cast in several different (contradictory) directions. If Fenn's shadow was in front of him, he was walking west toward the dead tree; north would be to his right. Examples: The tree's trunk and one branch were casting shadows to the south moments earlier and Geary and the tree were casting shadows to the northwest a little later. Continuity mistake: When Suzu collapses on the bridge after vomiting in the lake, in the overview shot, her left hand is away from her right hand. Then there is a closer shot of Suzu where her left and right hand are level with each other. Her hands also move closer to the edge of the bridge between shots. (00:13:00)
Continuity mistake: While eating dinner, Lauren has a glass of wine setting on a black coaster. After a scene change and return to the dinner table, an aerial view shows the coaster without the wine glass on it (and the wine glass is missing from the table). (00:38:32 - 00:40:18)
Continuity mistake: Joe has 'Rick C' (his partner) listed as a contact in his phone - late on in the movie when Joe calls him from the bathroom stall, he is listed as just "Rick"
Continuity mistake: At the Internet Store, Spencer was told his house was "right outside" the service area, internet was not available, and a satellite would not work. At the Phone Store, Chad told Lynn and Zoe they were in the "dead zone." When Lynn answered Spencer's call by putting her head out the upstairs window, she said, "The service is great up here." Suggested correction: That's not what happened. It was a montage scene. It's not 3 different players, it's the same player and 3 different hands. Notice the card is always dealt to the same spot.
Continuity mistake: David's [Ralph Fiennes] glass on the table is filled to within about 1" from the top. When he raises the glass to his mouth, the amount is about 1" lower, which may explain why the lemon slice is now floating diagonally instead of vertically. (00:01:36)
Continuity mistake: The appearance of young JR's hair has many inconsistencies. For example, JR's parted bangs (on the left) are long enough to hang part-way into his right eyebrow while he is walking toward the bedroom, but his bangs are well above his eyebrow when he is standing in the bedroom doorway. Continuity mistake: Vivian is trying on a red dress in her dressing room when Lucille comes in to talk to her. Throughout the scene as the shots switch back and forth, the dress goes from being pulled up on Vivian's right shoulder, to off the shoulder part way down her arm.
Continuity mistake: There isn't anything immediately in front of the storage shed when Edee opens the door. Inside, looking out, there is some type of diagonal, long thin branches or vines extending to the ground, which are gone in the subsequent view. (00:09:42)
Continuity mistake: The way the pink blanket was folded/draped over Motley's head when he was hiding in the second row seat of Danny's truck changed at least two times. The folds were also different when Jed got into the front passenger seat. Motley wasn't supposed to be moving, so it wouldn't make sense for him to have rearranged the blanket himself. Continuity mistake: The sunglasses Nancy placed near the center right side of her yellow legal pad changed positions a couple times with camera shifts. Initially, the left lens was almost touching the legal pad and the right lens was at about a 45° angle. Seconds later, the sunglasses were further away from the legal pad. Next, the sunglasses were close and parallel to the legal pad, not angled. (IF Nancy had accidentally bumped her sunglasses with her elbow, they would have been pushed away from the legal pad).
