Continuity mistake: At the ATM, when Ramona is pulling money out, you can see the reflection of a police car pull up behind her. It pulls up just as she begins to turn around and nobody is getting out in the reflection nor are lights on. But suddenly when she turns around several officers are already standing with guns trained on her and the lights on.
Continuity mistake: After the wolves have killed the guy poorly sniping them at the old encampment location, Clair Hamilton glares at Larsen from her sitting position and moves towards him to ask more about what he just said about Father. During this sequence, Gina Carano's hat is burdened by a bit of snow or practically no snow at all, back and forth with no logic between cuts. (00:35:50)
Continuity mistake: When Ana finally escapes in Peter's truck, the truck is a Nissan Frontier extended cab with a long bed, no tonneau cover and no roof rack, but shortly after they show her crossing a bridge in a Frontier crew cab (4 door) short bed with a tonneau cover and a roof rack. It is also has dirt on the side that looks like road salt whereas the original truck was very clean. (01:16:00)
Continuity mistake: Right after the scene where Nels saws up his gun, he walks into a store with his arms folded. His hands are down close to his stomach. When it cuts to the next angle, they are much higher at his chest. (00:26:51)
Continuity mistake: While in the pool room, Zoey falls off the wall onto a portion of floor that hasn't collapsed yet and loses consciousness. This area is next to the section of floor that collapsed first. Jason jumps down to help Zoey. As he is helping her up, and onto the wall, that section of floor collapses, forcing him to grab the wall to avoid falling 20-ish stories with the floor. As he looks down drop, the section of floor that fell first is amazingly back intact. (00:59:20)
Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie in several scenes the living room has 2 couches even up until the Parks are getting ready to leave for their camping trip, 1 big one and one small. The very next scene when the Kims are getting drunk, the small couch has disappeared. This must be to make room for the Kims to slide and crawl out from under the table. The strange thing is when the Parks come back home, they don't notice that one of their couches is missing. It remains missing until the end.
Continuity mistake: For a second time in the movie, someone buzzes June on the intercom. She tries to overcome her fears and get out of the apartment, but can't. She shuts the door, leans with the left hand on the doorframe by the chain, and lowers her arm. In the next shot, Naomi Watts is breathing deeply still with her hand by the chain. (00:06:05)
Continuity mistake: After the cover is removed from Judge Straight's head, the camera shifts to him over 40 times within about 7 minutes and his hair looks different almost every time. Initially, a back view of the judge's head shows long dishevelled hair with some strands above his head. A little later, a side view shows his hair mostly combed (not unruly). The location of his part varies (right side to middle). He may or may not have bang strands dangling; if dangling, the number and direction of strands vary. (00:02:48 - 00:04:40)
Continuity mistake: The bartender pours two beers that have no foam on the top. When the beers are set on the table they have about one inch of foam. When the camera angle changes there is no foam. (01:18:45)
Continuity mistake: When Samar stands up and introduces himself to Danielle in the beginning, he has churro crumbs on the side of his mouth. When he sits back down, they are suddenly gone. He didn't wipe his face off - they just vanish between shots.
Continuity mistake: Dr. Mitchell's tie was sticking out below the back side of his shirt collar when he approached the front desk but not a few seconds later when he was turning to see Carson or when the receptionist was handing him a doctor's white coat. Dr. Mitchell's tie extended below the back collar again when he was putting on the white coat. (00:09:15)
Continuity mistake: Shen starts fighting some people in the building with a suit case and an umbrella. At one point he's holding the tip of the umbrella against the black guy's chest with his arm almost fully outstretched. The end of his umbrella is against the right side of the man's tie. When it cuts to the next shot, the end of the umbrella is now on the left side of the man's tie, and Shen's arm is bent in more with him closer. (00:10:16)
Continuity mistake: After Wesley has intimidated the snot bully, he comes back home and finds the police. Sitting at the table, his mom holds his arm and says "Wesley, Mr. Chambers asked you a question." Mary Elizabeth Winstead has her right arm on the table, close to her body. Change of angle and she is holding the coffee mug instead. (00:45:10)
Continuity mistake: While listening to news about the hurricane and the disappearance, Fancy looks at Buddy working in the lawn. She spots him from the curtains as he tosses away a broken piece, but in the following close-up he picks up the bloodstained board by stepping over the bit he already tossed aside. (00:15:35)
Continuity mistake: Katie has been grounded, and like most teenagers decides to just drink up a lot of booze. She's sitting on the bedroom floor with her bestie and passes her the bottle of vodka: her friend takes it with her left hand and drinks, but in the following shot she's finishing the gulp by holding it in her right hand instead.
Continuity mistake: The protagonist woke up in the lobby, where he went to wait for the return of his daughter and wife. He goes to the receptionist, talks to her, mentions the doctor. She says she'll have the nurse station pass a message. Sam Worthington in the reaction shot has taken both hands off the counter. Cut, and he is waiting and staring at the nurse, but with the right hand on the counter. (00:34:25)
Continuity mistake: Moose is sitting at a desk writing a letter to Mr. Dunbar in a spiral bound notebook. There is a magazine to the right of the notebook with about the same width. After a couple quick camera shifts, the notebook is suddenly stacked on top of a few magazines and whatever Moose is writing on is obstructed by the stack. After a couple more quick camera shifts, the notebook is back in front of Moose, and he tears out the page he was writing on. (00:25:55)
Continuity mistake: After the cartoon segment, Deni entertains some playful banter with his girlfriend and takes off, putting a shirt on while he runs. When the neighbour asks him "Late again?", the guitar strap is on opposite sides of the instrument as the editing switches to a reverse shot. (00:06:40)
Continuity mistake: The amount of blood on 10-year-old Miguel's face and neck after his "jump in" is not consistent. Sometimes there is more (or less) blood on his cheeks and neck and sometimes it appears splattered compared to large areas diluted with blood. The intensity/color of the blood also changes - sometimes it is very red but other times it is paler. The cut on his left eyebrow apparently was not on the far left corner yet sometimes the blood started there; other times, the blood started almost to the middle of his eyebrow. Sometimes he has blood below his eyebrow. Despite all the blood on his face and neck (down to the sagging T-shirt), there is no blood on his white or light grey T-shirt. He also does not get any blood on his jacket. Miguel was repeatedly punched then kicked by several large, muscular adult gang members for 13 seconds (to become a member of the MS-13 gang) but is unrealistically able to get right up then go and pick up and carry his dog - with no limping or signs of pain. Continuity mistake: Packets of Synchronic were placed on top of the garbage already in the can and were inconsistent from one shot to another. Also, the amount of crumbled papers under the Synchronic decreased. (It is also interesting that no new garbage was placed in the can on top of the Synchronic packets even though over one day had passed).
