Trivia: Nate's dad, played by Thomas F. Wilson, says "let's make like a tree and leave", to which Nate replies "I'm not sure that's how it goes." Thomas F. Wilson famously played Biff in the Back to the Future films, who frequently got that saying wrong.
Trivia: When Dirk and Todd are talking about if Dirk ever solved a case, he mentions there was a bit about a sofa and Thor. This is a reference to the first two Douglas Adams' book in the Dirk Gently series, "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" (which had an immovable sofa) and "The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul" (which had Thor).
Trivia: Hayden Westerfield plays Eddie on the show and is also the creator of the show.
Trivia: Dolores tells William: "They say great beasts once roamed this world, as big as mountains, but all that's left of them is bone and amber." This is a general allusion to dinosaurs, of course; but, more specifically, it's a tip-of-the-hat to "Jurassic Park," by author Michael Crichton, who also wrote The Original "Westworld." The theme of most of Crichton's science fiction was human shortsightedness resulting in scientific nightmares. Crichton's "Westworld" and "Jurassic Park" are virtually identical stories about scientific amusement parks running amok.
Chapter Two: The Mall Rats - S3-E2
Trivia: The song Scott Clarke is listening to is not 'My Sharona, ' but actually 'My Bologna, ' by Weird Al Yankovic.
Trivia: Lavinia Peck-Foster warns Josh that witches will return to East Peck "and not the good kind." Kristin Chenoweth, who plays Lavinia, also played Glinda the good witch in the original Broadway run of Wicked.
No Bad Ideas - S1-E5
Trivia: It was said that Clark asked someone in an interview "which Gilmore Girl are you?" Clark's mom is played by Tricia O'Kelley who appeared on "Gilmore Girls."
Be Yourself, Free Yourself - S5-E15
Trivia: John Stamos shows up at the hospital to comfort Jodie Sweetin. He casually mentions to her that in a past life he was an ER doctor. This sly reference is an homage to his stint on the hit show ER where he was ER doctor Tony Gates. (00:25:39)
Batman VS Iron Man (DC VS Marvel) - S4-E10
Trivia: The car that Batman slides over when avoiding Iron Man's blasts is the same car from the mini game in Street Fighter II, where players would beat up the car and tear it apart as fast as possible for more points. (00:04:43)
A Band Done - S2-E24
Trivia: The 4th band member, Ronnie, is played by Michael DelGuidice. DelGuidice wrote the "Kevin Can Wait" theme song, "No Ordinary Guy" for the show. DelGuidice, who was born in Long Island, also started a Billy Joel cover band before joining Joel's actual band. In the show, Kevin and other characters often talk about their love for Billy Joel.
Trivia: The cast were sworn to secrecy to not reveal the big twist at the end of season one. Reportedly, all the cast members were really good at keeping the secret... except Ted Danson, who couldn't help but give away the twist anytime he tried to explain the show to someone.
Flight Risk - S2-E4
Trivia: In this episode, Dan Cooper hijacks and robs the passengers, then jumps out of the plane mid-flight with over $1 million of goods. In 1971, a man identifying himself as "Dan Cooper" (later misidentified by the media as "D.B. Cooper", which ended up being the more popularised epithet) hijacked a plane and jumped out of the plane in mid-flight with over $200K (equivalent to over $1 million in 2017).
Trivia: Arseface is based on James Vance, a teenager who made a suicide pact with his friend Ray Belknap, after the two became intoxicated while listening to the band Judas Priest. Vance survived his suicide attempt, but was left with a horribly disfigured face. His parents went on to unsuccessfully sue Judas Priest, blaming the band for their son's suicide attempt.
