Other mistake: When the Sheriff arrives at the end, his car has Pennsylvania license plates but we have been told that the setting is Virginia.

Other mistake: In the train scene, when Ed plays the two tapes separately, the first tape says," Help...It...Let...Go, Help...It...Let...Go." The second tape is then played, saying," Me...Won't...Me...Won't...Me." When played together, it should say," Help me, It won't let me go, Help won't, it me let go." Instead, it somehow turns into," Help me, it won't let me go, help me, it won't let me go." There aren't enough words in the second recording to fill or sequence the entire sentence(s). Other mistake: The tow truck driver says he has to repair the "split axle" before they can proceed. It wasn't clear what kind of truck he arrived in but the car could easily have been towed on the rear wheels on a wrecker and winched onto a flatbed.

Other mistake: When the truck driver gets his truck cleaned at the start, he starts to drive forwards to a worker at the quarantine checkpoint. The wide shot shows the truck driving towards the worker, but when the shot ends, the truck has not quite gone passed him. We are then shown a shot of the truck driver stopping the truck and rolling down the window. In the shot, the driver is shown looking directly to his left to be face to face with the quarantine worker, right as the shot begins. There's no way the driver could have been immediately looking at the worker at the start of the shot as the truck had yet to go past the driver at the end of the previous shot. (00:01:20)

Other mistake: Alice is running behind the armored cars. Once she manages to get on top of the car, suddenly the zombies that were only behind her and nowhere near the car are found at the sides too, attacking a guard and later Alice as well. Not possible considering if zombies were able to get there, they would have killed Alice while she was running.
