Percy Fawcett sets up a transit in the middle of a thick jungle, Henry Costin stands 10 feet in front of him holding the rod in one hand and a notepad in the other, then Percy looks through the transit and somehow reads the geographic coordinates out of thin air. This scene repeats couple of times during the movie.
Factual error: Hugh Jackman says the car he is working on is a '72 classic. It is actually a 1979 Pontiac Firebird.
Factual error: When Desmond's father is in his WW1 uniform, to the far right he is wearing a French Croix de Guerre (Cross of War) - the medals themselves are identical however, this decoration incorrectly hangs from a WW2 type ribbon.
Factual error: Women's stockings had seams in 1944. When people are dancing at the party in Bayfield's apartment, the backs of women's legs appear in enough shots to show that their stockings, anachronistically, are seamless.

Factual error: There would be no room for a thumb drive inside of a real Rubik's Cube due to the way they are constructed. When dismantled, the individual moving parts are quite small. It would certainly be possible to construct a facsimile of a Rubik's Cube that would have enough room, but it wouldn't be a fully functional puzzle the way it was in the film.
Factual error: When James spots his dad (Anthony Head) and stops him in the middle of the street, they have a brief chat in front of a big marquee advertising "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory - The Musical." First represented in 2013, with the movie ending in 2012. (00:20:50)

I can tell you, from experience with this exact situation, the pain is so intense that his hands should have been clenched as tight as a vise.
Factual error: The presidents of South Africa, South West Africa and the Rhodesias all object to Seretse and Ruth's marriage. But the head of state of all these countries and territories at the time was King George VI. None of them had presidents.

Factual error: The jacket blurb and plot synopsis for "Anthropoid" are historically and factually incorrect in stating that Heydrich was "third in command" of Nazi Germany. He was not; there was a chain of Nazi hierarchy above him and any historian of Nazi Germany will verify that. Unfortunately, Rotten Tomatoes perpetuates this inaccuracy by using the same jacket blurb in its own plot summary of the movie.
