Other mistake: Prince Shing and the King have a conversation that lasts not less than 5 minutes of movie (which compresses the time somewhat; groups of people get in and out of the large hall, which wouldn't be instantaneous and happens at least 3 times). The conversation happens while the other members of the royal family are running away through a secret passage. With such a considerable head start and wasting no time (they keep moving even when they put mantles on), they are reached by heavily-armored guards, through the same secret passage, within seconds. Revealing mistake: Late on in the film; Arnie and the female officer kick in the door to one of his teams house. Unfortunately Arnie is in his 70s now and not as agile as he used to be, the door was open and simply pushed hard. Look at the door, it has no damage and neither does the frame. Also, the door barely opens past a hard push. As tactically trained operatives they would not have pushed the door if it was ajar either, they would have opened it slowly to avoid startling anyone inside and warning them.

Continuity mistake: In the beginning, Schapelle checks the boogie bag in in the check-in counter. Then she's seen carrying it over her shoulder. Then a baggage handler takes it away from the check-in counter.

Continuity mistake: Jay is mopping the floor after promising on the phone to his dad that he'll bring his non-existent fiancee to the wedding. He tries to talk one of the nurses into joining him. While doing so, he stands before her leaning on his mop with his left hand on top, which switches to the right hand between shots. (00:06:40)

Continuity mistake: Carrie's height changes constantly.

Factual error: Narration refers to Hitler's Germany research into nuclear fusion - it was nuclear fission they were looking into, the same as what fueled the WWII-ending bombs in Japan, and every nuclear bomb and missile since. No nation has been able to generate nuclear fusion until very recently, and it doesn't produce an explosion - which is what Hitler wanted. (00:08:35)

Factual error: Roland enters the train to go to the war, in 1914, with "Spanish Flu", but that was the (wrong) name given to the 1918 flu pandemic, which lasted from spring 1918 through spring or early summer 1919.

Continuity mistake: When the guy is protecting his home and clearing the window with his shotgun you can see him breaking the glass on the bottom left window pane. In next shot it has the piece there again. (01:43:55)

Continuity mistake: Rich is dangling a light bulb above his dad's head. When the camera shifts to a close-up of Rich, the light bulb is higher - almost across from his own face - but back to dangling above his dad's head with the next camera shift. This is independent of Rich's dad telling him to "hold the light steady." (00:06:23)

Continuity mistake: As the two assistant workers walk away from the prison building at the end of the first day, Charlotte Gainsbourg's grip on her folders switches between shots.

Continuity mistake: After David hits Hugh he gets a wound on his mouth which gets smaller the next day.

Character mistake: Near the start, there's a misspelling of the word "Victim" in the newspaper heading "Police expect Beadie to mail latest victim's ID." Read by the man at the bar who is smoking a cigarette. (00:02:14)

Factual error: The streak ended in '04, but at the beginning of the movie the seniors talking about their last game have letter jackets with the year '05 on the sleeve.

Visible crew/equipment: When the little boy is lying in bed looking up at a hole in the wall you see a creepy hand move, the while time, if you look closely, there appears to be a human hand with human fingers to the right of it in the darkness.
Continuity mistake: The movie opens with an American Football match; look out for the girl wearing number 6 for the red team, Molosses, who has mid-length locks of straight reddish hair coming out of the helmet, down her back. When a touchdown is scored and celebrations begin, number 6 takes her helmet off, revealing the face of the protagonist, Karidja Touré, who has long black hair in braids. (00:01:20 - 00:02:40)

Factual error: In a scene where Kat is flying to or from Northern California for college, in the background through the window on the plane one can see a commercial jet which has the winglets of a narrow-body Boeing, which were not introduced until 1998 on the Boeing 737 NextGen, rather than "wingtip fences" of an Airbus which were in use as early as 1985. Eve disappeared in 1988 when Kat was 17, so this would have been 1993 at the latest, when Kat would have been expected to have graduated from Berkeley. In the movie, it is suggested that this was just 2 years after her mother disappeared, so this would have been not later than 1990-91.

Other mistake: During the driving scene in the woods with the Bronco, at least two shots are reused twice.

Factual error: During the Hungnam evacuation scene in December 1950, a U.S. Army Captain is using a radio handset. The model he uses is the H-250, which was introduced in 1987, over 30 years after the Korean War.

Continuity mistake: The broom (?) handle that was sticking out of the pile of plastic was leaning into the corner of the empty swimming pool. At a more distant view (opposite end of the pool), it should have been visible but was not. In later views, the handle's position varied - straight up (not diagonal) and leaning in a different direction. (01:09:19 - 01:11:44)

Factual error: As the marchers start through the streets before they gather at the Edmund Pettis Bridge, they pass by a shop with a Pepsi sign. The Pepsi logo, however, is from the 1980s-1990s.
