Revealing mistake: When Ray reminisces about having fought the Germans in WW2, a flashback is shown with him fighting in a bunker. He is carrying a No.4 Lee-Enfield rifle which requires the bolt to be worked after every shot to reload. However, he is shown firing two shots in rapid succession without moving his hands at all, revealing the shots to just be flashes added after filming.
Revealing mistake: Lazy prop department at work in the opening credits of this movie; look at the guest list. The second page and the first page are an exact copy and paste of the same names and addresses. (00:01:35)

Revealing mistake: When the officer on the bike chases Wilee, the door to a taxi opens and the officer collides with the door. You can see that the window had been removed from the door to make sure the actor doesn't get injured. It certainly wasn't rolled down because the frame isn't even there. (00:18:00)
Revealing mistake: During Jack's memories, when he is holding the antlers up to his head, Jack's sister's boot can be seen coming through the fabric of her dress.
Revealing mistake: In the scene when Dodge is knocking at the second house to see if Olivia is home, check out the top left corner of the screen during the shot of Penny sitting in the car - a bird flies by inside the car. The only reasonable explanation is that the visual effects team not only made the bird graphic visible through the window but also in front of the rest of the car. They might have forgotten to bring the car layer in front of the bird layer, causing a bird to be seen flying over top of the entire image. (01:14:00)

Other than the leading paragraph written in bold text, and the word 'tragedy', the other words relate to an article about the affects of global warming on great white sharks. Revealing mistake: When Sam first sets off in the canoe, it is obviously being towed because it leaves a moderate wake even though he is barely paddling.
Revealing mistake: Right at the end of the film when Sam, Patrick and Charlie are driving through the tunnel, when Charlie begins to stand up on the back of the truck, look slightly beneath his flapping jacket and you can see the safety wires attached to him.
Revealing mistake: When the arrow Larry shot into the sky comes back down, it pierces Mac's thigh and into a thick pad which can be seen under his pants.
Revealing mistake: In the flashback of four years ago to the night that John met Lori, when he accidentally pushes her to the floor, it is a dummy that hits the floor.
Revealing mistake: The SEALs assaulting Bin Laden's compound are using infrared lasers on their rifles, which can only be seen under night vision. The lasers being AN/PEQ-15s which the SEALs have attached to the top of their rifles. However, most if not all of the rifles have the laser beam coming from the bottom left of the hand guard, not from the top mounted laser unit. It's possible the/PEQ-15s were faux units and different lasers mounted to the rifles were used to give the effect.
Revealing mistake: When Three Finger is driving the truck to ram the car containing Angela's husband you can see round the eyes that it is a mask being worn.
