Trivia: The creature that hunts down the Doctor before being shot down by the Sniper girl is actually the original design of the Predator that was scrapped during Predator 1 due to issues with the costume and the jungle. The original Predator was supposed to be very slender with backwards knees and long arms, but because of the jungle setting, it was scrapped because the director was unable to make the costume work properly.
Trivia: The "Bride in Black" is played by a man wearing women's clothing. This was done so that something would feel "off" about the image of the ghost. At the time, the character was intended to be female. However, when the creators later reused the character for the sequel and added in a backstory, they worked the fact that the character was played by a male as part of his backstory - it actually is a man who masqueraded as a woman as a disguise to lure in victims.
Trivia: Actress Mila Kunis was actually recommended by Natalie Portman for the part of Lily.
Trivia: The movie was originally scripted with a male lead and Tom Cruise was approached to play the title character. Ultimately, he backed out and the script was rewritten with a female lead and Angelina Jolie took the role.

Trivia: John Travolta is handed a bag of burgers. He takes one out and hands it to his partner, and calls it a Royale With Cheese. A nod to Pulp Fiction, where Travolta explains to Samuel L. Jackson that in France, they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese a "Royale with Cheese".
Trivia: McGregor finds that the BMW navigation system is active, and decides to follow the directions, having no idea where it will lead. There are obviously much easier and direct ways to check the entered target destination of a sat nav than actually following it. Instead of this being a mistake, it is most likely a script choice; portraying McGregor as stressed, technically unknowing, inexperienced driver of modern luxury cars, or all of that.
Trivia: When Teddy enters the lighthouse, as soon as he begins to climb the spiral stairs, the camera follows his movement from in front of him. However, as Teddy and the camera wind around the stairs, the wall behind also appears to move with them, as though what is REALLY moving is only the staircase itself, rotating on its central axis. Yet another point (added to the various disappearing glasses/bottles) that adds to the general 'insane' feel of the film.
Trivia: The first film Wes Craven both wrote and directed since the release of "New Nightmare" 16 years earlier. It was also the final film Craven both wrote and directed before he tragically passed away. (While he did direct "Scream 4" the following year, he was not a credited writer on it).
Trivia: Terry S. Mercer, the helicopter pilot that rescues Aron at the end of the film, is the actual pilot that rescued the real Aron Ralston.
Trivia: When Victor Crowley yanks Cletus out of a boat and into the water, he yells the Wilhelm scream.
Trivia: Brad Dourif ("Stan") and Jeremy Sumpter gave some input to first-time director Steele about the "look" of their characters (and maybe names?). Interestingly, the character played by Jeremy is "Jarod LEARY." Detective Fairchild's first name is "MATT." Matt O'Leary starred with Jeremy in "Frailty."
Trivia: Originally, Kevin Greutert, who edited the first five "Saw" movies and also directed "Saw VI" and "Saw 3D," was attached to direct. However, Lionsgate enacted a contractual clause to remove him from the film. While an exact reason was never given, it has been widely speculated that this was done because the "Paranormal Activity" movies were the only direct competition for the "Saw" series at the box office.
Trivia: At the beginning of the movie Markus Kane is watching TV with a woman, the show that he is first watching is Death Race 2000 before changing the channel. Death Race 2000 is what the Death Race movies are based off of.
