Trivia: Castle's Halloween costume is of Malcolm Reynolds, played by Nathan Fillion in the short-lived TV show "Firefly." Alexis asks him: "Didn't you wear that like five years ago?" Serenity, the film based on Firefly, was released 5 years before this episode aired.
Trivia: The Dollhouse is run by the Rossum Corporation. The word Robot was first used in a 1920s science fiction stage play about mechanical servants called Rossums Universal Robots.
Trivia: Despite the series being a critical darling and winning a number of prestigious awards, it was quietly cancelled during its third season in 2011, and network Showtime never gave a reason why the plug was pulled. Star Toni Collette has stated as recently as 2017 that she was still frustrated that the show had been cancelled, as she loved the series and the cast and thought it would have gone on at least a few more seasons.
Trivia: This is not the first time that Laura Vandervoort, who stars as Lisa, has played the part of a glamorous female alien as she was Kara (aka Supergirl) Superman's cousin in Smallville.
Trivia: In 2014, the series creators and network were sued for emotional distress by the family of a man named Andy Abarca. Abarca had been killed in a shooting, and actual photos from his autopsy were used in the opening credits montage of the show, evidently without any permission from his family. His mother and sister just happened to stumble across the show on one night in 2013 and were greeted with grisly images of their deceased relative. It was evidently allowed as autopsy photos are considered public documents. As of 2018, there have been no updates on the case.

Trivia: His wife's comment in the opening title sequence that he is "the Shakespeare of cheesy dad humour" is a nod to the fact that Joseph Fiennes played the lead in "Shakespeare in Love". (00:06:15)
Trivia: Evan was originally written as Hank's best friend. But when Paulo Costanzo was cast, his physical resemblance to Mark Feuerstein inspired Andrew Lenchewski to turn the characters into brothers.
Trivia: Bradley Walsh had never seen the original American series before being offered his role.
