When he fills his chest compartment with garbage and runs his internal compactor, the cube that exits his body is the same volume as the trash he puts in, despite that trash having been compacted. He does not add extra trash to fill the empty space after running the compactor - there are three scenes that show him filling up only once with loose garbage and then ejecting a densely compacted cube. Continuity mistake: When Brown pours water on Shane to wake him up, the wet patch on his clothes changes appearance between shots.
Factual error: In the hotel bar just after his lecture, Frank and his buddy are talking. Frank says that his wife "set the clock forward" (and thus he was late for the lecture on efficiency). His buddy asks: "she actually set the clock forward?" Ryan responds "she set it forward." Thus, he should have been early, and not late for his lecture. She should have set the clocks backwards to make him late.
Revealing mistake: When Natalie Portman's character is about to be executed, if you look at the wall behind the executioner, you can see a modern metal drainpipe.
Factual error: When Kate gives Angie a ride back to Kate's house/apartment, the outside scene shows a road sign for PA-51. PA Route 51 is a road in southwestern Pennsylvania, not a road near Philadephia, which is where the film is set.
Factual error: When Dodge and Lexie are in the building running from the police, you see an exit sign. This movie is set in the 1920's, before exit signs were invented.
Continuity mistake: When Dr. Pincus joins Gwen to examine Pepe, in the first overhead shot of Pepe the things on the table around his head change in the next shot. (00:41:10)

The outside shot is of him going counter clockwise (turning left), although a shot of the steering wheel shows a large right turn. Continuity mistake: When Michael and Brenda are in the hallway of the apartment, Harry first asks them about Michael playing pro ball, Michael's hands goes from having the ball in them, to under her arm, to back in his hands in three consecutive frames.
Factual error: Benjamin leaves his family at some point after his daughter's first birthday (1970), and definitely before her second birthday. But a 1973-1977 El Camino is parked in front of their house as he rides away on his motorcycle. (02:24:15)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the film, when Pitka is using the voice-over machine, it is a black machine. In the bar scene however, the machine is a pale-ish orange color. The orange-ish machine is also used in the ending scene before the song.

He places both cups on a tray then places it on the bed and frequently in the scene, the cups change from either being side by side, or one placed inside the other.
Continuity mistake: When Oskar shows his Rubik's Cube to Eli and explains how it works, one side is all white except one square, which differs from being red vs. blue between shots.
Factual error: The doctor parks his car under the house before the storm hits. Since the house is on the beach and the wind and water hit the house, there is no way his car would start and be so clean after such a storm.
Continuity mistake: When the girls are having their PE lesson and Poppy is watching them practice their Lacrosse skills, Poppy gets some mud on her face, but in the next shot as she is putting sanitizer on, the splatter of mud is bigger and has changed shape. It is before she has touched it so it wouldn't have spread yet.
Factual error: When Chuck is stapling fliers to the telephone poles, the tree behind Vanessa has changed colors for Fall, but still has a lot of orange leaves. The scene takes place after Christmas. In Pittsburgh, PA, the leaves are long gone by December.
