Continuity mistake: When Daphne first meets Jason, she places two of Milly's business cards on the table and Jason takes one, leaving one remaining. But when Johnny takes a card for himself after talking with Daphne, there are still two business cards on the table. (00:19:30)
Factual error: When August sits down at the piano in the church and begins to play, he plays a passage of ascending notes (his hand is actually on camera so you see it move to the right, up the piano). However, the audio that you actually hear is a passage of descending notes.
Factual error: In the beginning of the film, a variety of different suitors are presented to Elizabeth. Amongst them are Eric XIV of Sweden, reportedly "still madly in love [with her]". Even though he was born the same year as Elizabeth; when this film takes place, in 1585, he had already been dead for 8 years.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie, Rachel lies down in the shade of a billboard on the side of the road. When they cut to the wide shot the shadow of the billboard is on the opposite side so Rachel is in sunlight. This might have symbolized the passing of time, but in the next shot, when Harlen comes to wake her, she is in the shade again.
Revealing mistake: When Jessica Alba is in the dentists room with the chipped tooth, it's very obvious she's wearing a set of false teeth over her teeth.
Factual error: The movie was set roughly in the early 1950s, but the two motorcycles were at least mid-1980s or newer.
Continuity mistake: In the hospital scene, when Jenna's close up shot is show her a strand of her hair alternates from being in her face to off her face to back in her face. (01:30:05)
Continuity mistake: Drew Barrymore's hair varies from shot to shot, as well as within scenes. It's always styled a bit differently, as if she did not have the same hairstylist more than once.
Factual error: When Richard asks Art his opinion of his book, a copy of "Haymarket Scrapbook" is on a shelf. This book was first published in 1986, yet Richard's book will be published in 1981. (01:03:00)
Factual error: Trudie and her family are released from jail because David, being the victim of kidnapping, decided not to press charges. That's not how things work. It's not up to the victim to decide whether or not to press charges. It's up to the prosecutor to decide or not to press charges.
Continuity mistake: When Chris is talking with Luvlee, and Gary has just gone back to the bedroom with a beer, Chris' head changes position without enough time for him to do it, while the camera switches back and forth from Chris to Luvlee.
Other mistake: There's a scene at the end of the movie where Annie is sitting looking through some graduate school brochures, and her boyfriend Hayden comes over and hands her a letter from the "5th Avenue Mom" she used to work for. She says she can't read it so he offers to read it to her. The camera shows a close-up of the letter as Hayden starts to read. In the letter it's written that it's been "some time" since we've spoken, but he reads it as "several months."
Continuity mistake: There's a scene in Kate's restaurant kitchen where Nick asks Zoe to hold the big bowl of spaghetti he had been eating, and she starts eating it. At one point there's a piece of basil hanging off the edge of the bowl and when the camera cuts back to her, it's gone.
Revealing mistake: Sean Patrick Flanery plays a nerd who has trapped a female vampire in a cage. About 3/4 of the way into the movie, he tricks a co-worker into visiting, planning to feed him to her. He extends his right arm through the bars, and she starts to caress and kiss it, then begins to bite it and suck his blood. When he tries to withdraw, she tears off his arm at the shoulder. But in the next shot, he and Flannery both hit the floor outside the cage, and the co-worker's right arm is visible. However, when the scene begins, both Flanery and the co-worker are wearing watches on their left wrists, and in the shot of them on the floor, both have watches on the right, suggesting that the image has been reversed.
Other mistake: At the end, during the neighborhood fight scene, Monty is punching Joe, but you can clearly see that he is not actually coming in contact with Joe's face.

Revealing mistake: In the jazz club, the saxophone player's finger movements don't match what he is playing.
Other mistake: Just before Debbie takes her shirt off after Walter has given all of the Playpen girls suggestions, one of the girls says "It's hot in here." (probably Debbie, but it doesn't really sound like her), but Mona doesn't start having an orgasm, when "in" is supposed to start it. (00:33:50)
