Trivia: It was said that Dick Clark was hosting New Year's Eve. You also heard Dick counting down to a 2005 lighting of the ball. In actuality Dick Clark did not host the New Year's Eve Countdown in 2005 year due to being in the hospital from a stroke. Regis Philbin did. Unfair to count this as a mistake as the film was shot in 2004 (released early 2005), so they weren't to know, but worth noting.
Trivia: At the part where the band arrives to play for the evil witch, one of the band members states "We've had the same stinking tour bus since 1978" which is referring to "The Great Muppet Movie" (made in 1978) in which they first mention the tour bus.
Trivia: While this is indeed the third film in the "Eye" series, the film's original title was "The Eye 10", in reference to the fact there is a plot element regarding the ten ways one can see a ghost. The title was later changed to either "The Eye 3" or "The Eye Infinity" when released in other territories in order to avoid confusion.
Trivia: The scene of Alejandro and Toronado leaning on a house wall, stark drunk, is a homage to Lee Marvin's role as Kid Shelleen in the movie "Cat Ballou".
Trivia: Director Adam Shankman has a cameo as Zoe's driving teacher.
Trivia: The title was suggested by Val Kilmer - it was originally called simply "Bang!"
Trivia: In the Middle East, a censored version of the movie was released that eliminated all of the homosexual content. The result apparently didn't make any sense at all as the scenes were important plot points.
Trivia: Rob Cohen (director of the first film) and Vin Diesel (star of the first film) had both signed on to work on this sequel. Cohen had even begun early work on the project, after having very much enjoyed working on the first film. However, due to time constraints and scheduling conflicts with other projects, both had to drop out of their respective roles, and Diesel Xander was unceremoniously "killed off." Both Diesel and Cohen were unsatisfied with this film, with Diesel in particular expressing an interest to return. Diesel later brought the series back with 2017's "xXx: Return of Xander Cage."
Trivia: When Director Andrew Niccol was out buying thousands of AK-47 for the movie, he found that the real stuff was less expensive and more readily available than fakes. After the movie he had to resell them, and found himself becoming an arms dealer.
Trivia: Production was suspended for over a month whilst Charlize Theron recovered from a neck injury she suffered doing stunt work on the tenth day of shooting. She was in hospital for five days and needed about six weeks of physiotherapy to recover.
Trivia: At the end of the credits, there is a message that reads, "This movie is dedicated only to the truly naughty. And their children."
Trivia: AnnaSophia Robb ("Opal") has a remarkable and even uncanny resemblance to Dakota Fanning. Agewise, their dates of birth are less than three months apart. Dakota is not in "Because of Winn-Dixie", but her younger sister Elle is. Dakota and Elle have acted in the same movie (e.g, Elle played a younger version of Dakota in "I Am Sam"). Perhaps Dakota had a prior commitment/contract filming "The Door In The Floor" (2004) so could not sign a contract to star in "Because of Winn-Dixie" (2005) with filming starting in 2003.
Trivia: Due to the potential dangers of filming in a real cave the entirety of the film was shot on sets. Twenty one "caves" were built for the shoot.
Trivia: Eva Birthistle plays Cillian Murphy's mother in the film, even though in real life she's only two years older than Murphy.
