![Assault on Precinct 13 picture](/images/titles/4000-4999/4745_sm.jpg)
Factual error: In the shot where the laser sights of the assailants come in through the windows and holes in the wall, their angles are far too different from each other. The shooters are standing at a rather great distance from the structure and at more or less the same height. All the laser sights should have more or less the same direction and certainly not make a sweeping motion inside the room. (00:37:30)
![Joyeux Noël picture](/images/titles/8000-8999/8962_sm.jpg)
Factual error: A very common error in First World War films. British soldiers were not permitted to shave their upper lips until 1916 - in 1914 almost all (unless physically unable to grow them) would have had moustaches.
![Roll Bounce picture](/images/titles/6000-6999/6211_sm.jpg)
Factual error: The frozen treats used at certain points in this movie are labeled with nutrition labels found in the U.S. today. The labels looked extremely different in the 70's.
![Fever Pitch picture](/images/titles/4000-4999/4966_sm.jpg)
Factual error: In the opening day clips, they show 49, Tim Wakefield, starting. The starting pitcher that day was 38 Curt Schilling (Wakefield never played that day). Furthermore, the clips show them playing against the Texas Rangers; opening day 2004 was against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Suggested correction: Not Curt Schilling, Bronson Arroyo started the home opener against Toronto in 2004.
![The Island picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5153_sm.jpg)
Factual error: When the first train wheel hits the ground in the close up, you can see that it isn't made of steel as it deforms as if it were foam. And there is also no damage to the concrete road whatsoever, since the wheels are made of steel there should have been quite a big hole. (01:17:50)
![Rent picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5355_sm.jpg)
Factual error: One of Angel's lyrics (in "Today For You, Tomorrow For Me) refers to the movie "Thelma and Louise." Rent (the movie) is set in 1989-90. "Thelma and Louise" was released in 1991. This was caused when they did the move from Broadway to the screen. The stage show did not specify the year. So when they adapted the stage show to the movie, they didn't check the references. Plus it just sounds cool. (00:28:25)
![Madagascar picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5059_sm.jpg)
Factual error: In the sequence where the animals get on the first subway, it says they are on the 59th St subway. But, there is no 59th St subway in NY. The only subway station close to 59 is the 57th St subway.
Suggested correction: While the other correction lists a 59th street, that's in Brooklyn. There is one in Manhattan though, 59th - Columbus Circle, which is also the south-west corner of Central Park.
Suggested correction: There is definitely a 59th street subway station: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/59th_Street_ (BMT_Fourth_Avenue_Line).
![XXX: State of the Union picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5045_sm.jpg)
Factual error: Stone sneaks aboard the USS Independence (CVA-62) to investigate the bad guy's arms cache..yet, when he dives into the water, he is jumping off the USS Hornet (CVS-12). (00:50:35 - 00:57:45)
![Capote picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5340_sm.jpg)
Factual error: Halfway into the film, a scene shows Capote talking on a beige telephone. The receiver is a modular (plug in) type. Modular phones were not introduced until after 1966. The time frame for this movie is 1959 through 1963. All other scenes in this movie show the correct type of receiver (wired, not plug-in).
![Sin City picture](/images/titles/4000-4999/4691_sm.jpg)
Factual error: When Marv is talking with the Priest in the confessional, he cocks the hammer of his pistol as a means of interrogation. But in the next shot, the pistol is uncocked, without sufficient time for this to occur. In fact, the pistol is uncocked even when Marv shoots him. This cannot happen, since his pistol is a standard 1911 .45, which requires the hammer to be cocked in order to fire.
![The Descent picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5135_sm.jpg)
Factual error: On the hike to the cave, Sarah and her friends encounter a deer carcass - a red stag, which are not found in North Carolina.
![The Exorcism of Emily Rose picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5255_sm.jpg)
Factual error: During the credits, as the house is shown, a paper wasp nest is shown hanging from the eaves. Crawling all over it are honeybees, which do not live in paper nests.
![The Squid and the Whale picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5532_sm.jpg)
Factual error: During one of the many driving scenes we see many cars on the side streets. At one point you can see a Mercedes-Benz ML SUV parked on a corner. This model SUV was not made until 2000-2001. Since the movie is set in the mid 80's this is impossible.
![Elizabethtown picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5308_sm.jpg)
Factual error: Near the end of the movie a fire accidentally starts in the center of the ballroom. It activates a fire sprinkler but every other sprinkler also activates. Fire sprinklers are activated by heat so only the one(s) nearest the fire would have activated.
![The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5367_sm.jpg)
Factual error: When the train is travelling away from Paddington Station, the locomotive does not have a number on the buffer beam, but has a number plate on the smokebox door. It also has a large 'British Railways' symbol on the tender. In 1940, the Great Western Railway would have had the number on the buffer beam and a either a small GWR logo on the tender or Great Western in full. British Railways wasn't created until 1948.
![Wild Things 3: Diamonds in the Rough picture](/images/titles/7000-7999/7030_sm.jpg)
Factual error: The vehicles in the movie have front and back license plates. The state of Florida does not have front plates, only back.
![Kicking and Screaming picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5034_sm.jpg)
Factual error: Soccer officials are supposed to wear a color that is different than the teams he is officiating. The ref wears a blue shirt when officiating the tigers (who are blue) and then a black shirt when officiating the Gladiators (who are in black). The referee would have worn either his primary yellow for these or red, but never blue or black.
![Alone in the Dark picture](/images/titles/4000-4999/4850_sm.jpg)
Factual error: When the orphans are taken at the start of the film, the police car outside is a 1990's Ford Crown Victoria, despite the events being said to occur 22 years ago- meaning the early 1980s.
![The Crow: Wicked Prayer picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5285_sm.jpg)
Factual error: Luc Crash holds the match unreasonably close to the gas-soaked priest, whom he intends to play with and not actually burn alive. At the distance he held the match, the fumes from the gas would have caught fire.
![The Great Raid picture](/images/titles/5000-5999/5998_sm.jpg)
Factual error: The group of Japanese soldiers who came to Cabanatuan following the guards desertion were not "secret police" with orders to execute the POWs as shown in the film. They were simply units who happened to temporarily halt at the camp during their retreat from the advancing Americans.
