Factual error: The Great Exhibition was held in 1851, roughly 15 years before the film takes place.
Continuity mistake: Vincent drives a black Cadillac Esplanade throughout the movie. In the scene where Ben and his security advisor tail Vincent to his base of operation, Vincent turns a corner and the Cadillac becomes a black GMC Yukon. When he arrives, it is a Cadillac again.
Other mistake: When Jack is reading the paper about the death of two other characters in a hotel, there's a newspaper insert and we can see that, with the exception of the headlines, everything is mumble-jumble, incoherent text just to fill the space.
Continuity mistake: When Tommy picks up his mother's cigarettes out of the toilet, one of them very obviously breaks in half. Yet a few shots later, they are all unbroken and normal.
Continuity mistake: When Joey is participating in the concert he goes along with pretending to be cut up. His jeans are clean until they put him on the glass table, when they're covered with fake blood. In the next shot, they're clean again and they start to cut him apart with the fake chainsaws.
Continuity mistake: When Maria and Juan are eating arepa and soda, in the shot when she asks him not to talk badly about her sister, Maria has full hair on her face, the shot changes and then it is clear.
Continuity mistake: When John C. Reilly and Diego Luna are walking in the street and the guy snatches the briefcase, the briefcase switches hands. Just before the snatch it is held in the left hand, but the guy steals it from the right hand. (00:53:10)
Continuity mistake: When the 3 kids are about to go through the chute after the 2 security guards shock themselves Gus jumps down first, then Madeline gets in and Austin hands her the baby, Max, and she goes down then Austin goes down. However when they all land Gus comes out then Austin and Madeline comes last. Not only that but she loses Max inside, how she can let go of him if he was on her lap and he ends up behind her?
Deliberate mistake: Frankie's voice-over reading of the letter to his father does not match the text of the letter. He says, "Ricky Munroe told me. Trust him to put his big feet right in it. I've told him hundreds and hundreds of times." but the letter reads, "Ricky Munroe told me. Trust him to put his size threes right in it. He is rubbish at secrets. I've told him hundreds and hundreds of times." (00:21:15)
Factual error: Charles II appears to be teased by Nell Gwynn into changing the law where women were not permitted to act just because she wanted to be an actress. By the time when Charles II did so, more than likely he did not know Nell Gwynn existed. It was through the stage that he ever knew about her and made her his mistress.
Continuity mistake: When Lynn first finds out about the Olson murders, their house is two doors down from where she is house sitting. Later on, when Detective Peters mentions the murders in passing, he states that their house was three doors down.
Factual error: Bridget appears to be making her first parachute jump. The mistake is that she would not be permitted under UK law to make her first jump the way she does. She would either have to jump with a static line attached to the aircraft, which opens her parachute automatically. Or if she took an accelerated free fall course, she could free fall but she would do so with two instructors jumping with her to steady her and open her chute if she panicked.
Continuity mistake: At the Crematoria mountain, Kira gets stuck in a small hole after the sunrise. She tries to climb again, but the rocks are so hot, she can't even touch them. She crouches and talks to Riddick for a while. Then, while standing up again, she touches the rock wall, but doesn't appear to experience any discomfort from the supposedly baking hot surface. Revealing mistake: Robin Williams is working on Bannister's rememory, scanning newspaper articles. Under the first headline, "Bannister Eyes Future," the copy reads, "Whoever wrote these headlines had as much fun as I did setting them in type and formatting them into newspaper articles. But then, this sort of headline appears in the paper regularly, so maybe we all just want to have fun. Fun: such a precious commodity these days."
Continuity mistake: When Bob and Handy are talking beside the Moose at the start of the film, they are talking about Handy's nose. Right after Handy says that when Bruce (The Moose) is there, his nose looks normal. As he says this, Bob looks down. Then as the camera changes angle to look at Bob for the reply, he is once again looking directly at Handy.
Factual error: The song that Davy Crockett plays on the violin is 'The Mockingbird Quick-Step,' written in 1855, several decades after the events of this movie (and later used by the 'Three Stooges' as a theme song.).
Factual error: In the scene when the kids are on the boat hunting the snakeheads, Amber fires at least eight shots from a six shot, snub-nose revolver. Her friend then grabs the gun and fires two more shots from it.
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the film Nicole Kidman is having her wedding photos taken. The photographer poses her for the shot, but when he actually takes the photo, the background has changed. When he poses her, there are just trees and bushes behind her, but when he takes the photo, the trees and bushes are gone and people are walking around.
Continuity mistake: When Ash breaks the window in the house at Long Island all the glass disappears in the window, apart from a little at the top. However, in the next shot when Telly and Ash walk through the window, all the glass has vanished.
Continuity mistake: Ashley Judd is sitting in a bar with Andy Garcia when an ex boyfriend walks in. She says to Andy, "I do not get involved with ex-boyfriends." During that line the camera is to her left and she is holding a drink almost to her mouth. While she says the word "involved," the camera switches to her right side and she is not holding a drink.
