Easter egg: On the Bonus/Feature DVD of 2-DVD set. Go to Behind the Scenes. An Omnidroid silhouette appears near the end of the menu's animation loop. When the silhouette appears, move the cursor right to highlight it and then click enter. A short film on Frank Thomas & Ollie Johnston (great early Disney animators) will play. When it ends, if you click on the silhouette again, a different short "behinds the scenes" clip called "Markisms" will appear.
Easter egg: In the main menu of the second disc (extras), of the 2 disc edition of the region 2 DVD, press the pointer to the right. Joel's shoe will turn red and you will see a short film made by director Michel Gondry.
Easter egg: In the two-disc special edition set, on the second disc, go to Complete Index of Unique Features, then Day Out Of Days, then click on virtually any item. Press up to find different Easter Eggs that will show you a small clip.
Easter egg: 2nd disc: Go into the Great Hall and choose "The Quest of Sir Cadogan". During the introduction to the challenge, between the part when you see Sir Cadogan sleeping (maybe) and when he gives flowers to a girl, hit the left arrow on your remote and you'll automatically go to the picture gallery (which you will also get to if you play the challenge and get the highest rank). You'll still have to play the challenge afterwards, though, unless if you hit Menu.
Easter egg: On the U.S. version, there are terrific little nuggets in the newspaper "Far Far Away Times". It's located by following this path: Special Features > More > Far Far Away Times. When you get to the page with the newspaper, you can scroll through more than a dozen pages of really witty and amusing "articles", although you can only read the headlines. Starting on the third page - and on many, many pages thereafter - use the "up" arrow to highlight other parts of the pages. It's a real treasure trove. You'll find Fiona's diary (in its entirety), medieval graffiti, tapestries of the King and Queen in their younger days, medieval street signs, posters for musical acts (like the band "Stonehenge" and "Chastity Belt's World Tour"), Before and After pictures (including the transvestite bartender!), Fairy Godmother's various Potions and the Poison Apple's Drink Menu.
Easter egg: On the 2-disc Special Edition, on Disc One, go to the Special Features menu and select Main Menu, then hit down. This highlights a previously unseen shape (cat food maybe?) that leads to a selection of Official "Overheard at the Monitor" Quotes from Guillermo del Toro.
Easter egg: In the main menu you need two numbers to access the log book for other features. Go into "bonus treasure hunt". Play about 10 secends of each feature,press disc menu on the remote and you will get the letters su,re,ea+tr. Once you get all letters, this will bring you to another menu which the word "treasure" has to be typed to get the bonus secret number(as well as other features). Once you watch and play with the remote under "riley pooles decode this",the number 0421 will come up at the end. Then you will need to go to "main menu" (on the same page),press right to show a symbol above the revolving picture. Press enter and punch in 0421 to access the master code. Also you will be able to watch the movie with trivia. The two numbers needed for the log book in the main menu are 397 and 405. Enjoy.
Easter egg: In the 2 disc special edition, on the pre-production menu, towards the bottom, if you click right, you'll highlight a face-hugger. Click it to see an interesting video by Tom Woodruff Jr., the lead alien.
Easter egg: The Girl Next Door unrated version contains an Easter Egg in the Special Features section on the reverse side of the DVD. From the Special Features menu, use the down arrow to highlight the "Gag Reel." Hit the right arrow once and three X's will appear. Hit enter and a full version of the original sex education film "Parent to Child About Sex by The Film Library Department of Human Resources" will play.
Easter egg: When you go into the special features, there is a game featuring Char and the fan club. If you want to skip to the "reward", press the left arrow and it will highlight the bottom of Chars picture with a little flower. Press enter and it will come up with the "reward".
Easter egg: On the region 2 DVD clicking the Purple Cobra logo on the Special Features Menu will play an alternative commentary featuring Rawson Marshall Thurber, Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller.
Easter egg: Go to the commentary menu on Disc 1, highlight Off for the second commentary, and hit right, then up. A yellow spider should appear. Hit enter to see a funny introduction with the director.
Easter egg: 1. Navigate to the Special Features section on the DVD. 2. Use your arrow keys to select "Heaven Help Us." 3. Once "Heaven Help Us" is selected, press your right arrow key to select a blue Jesus link to take you to an unaired trailer for "Saved!" featuring Michael Stipe.
Easter egg: On page 1 of the Bonus features, highlight "Ready, Set, Action!" and hit right and enter.
Easter egg: On the second disc, when the menu first appears, hit right on your DVD remote to highlight one of the wooden planks on the Trojan horse, and hit Enter. There is a clip the CG department made of some animatic 'bloopers' during the movie.
Easter egg: Go to Scene Selection. Highlight scene 15. Hit the back button once. A wine bottle will appear. Hit enter and you will see a montage of behind the scenes photos.
Easter egg: Go to the cast page, highlight Special Features, and hit right. Some stars should appear. Hit enter to see profiles on the characters.
Easter egg: On the DVD normal version, go to Special Features Menu, go down to MTV interstitials and press enter. Go down and highlight Sleeping bag 2 girls, press left and a pot leaf will appear on Ethan Suplee's arm. Press enter.
Easter egg: On the second disc of the Double Disc edition of the DVD there is a Special Features menu listing about eight programs. If you press left from any of these the cursor moves onto a hidden box, giving you about eight more features to watch.
Easter egg: When accessing the directors' commentary, press right and you will find a 2nd commentary by different people.
