Continuity mistake: When Frances leaves her house she takes the blue vase. Only boxes of books were moved, the vase was seen on a desk at camp Divorce, however when the boxes of books arrived in Italy and she opened one, she took the vase out.
Continuity mistake: When Lila's staff are gossiping about the "new sweetheart of America" Christian raises a glass and toasts, "Hear hear!" There is only one glass, but in the next shot Lila is holding it. Also, in the following shot, Christian is holding his hands together and no wine in sight. (00:13:45)
Continuity mistake: When Natalie tells Bernie about her son, the lock of hair hanging down in front of her right eye disappears and reappears randomly throughout the scene. It's present in only about half of the frontal shots, and no shots from any other angle. (00:37:20)
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Ray and Eva have sex for the first time, Eva is moving underneath the blanket and you can see that she has a pair of knickers on. The couple were supposed to have just finished having sex, why would she have knickers on?
Revealing mistake: Don't worry, Aunt Sally isn't really dead. She's still breathing in the shots where people come to look at her in her coffin.
Factual error: A hard pack of Winston cigarettes is shown, but these were not available in 1953.
Plot hole: When Bryan is shuffled in at "The Baywatch" as one of the dancing extras, wouldn't the director of the film notice that one of his beach dancers (Bryan) is actually dressed for cold weather rather than a day at the beach? He's wearing sweats and a hooded sweatshirt, and he stands out like a sore thumb with all those girls in bikinis around him.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Frannie and Detective Malloy are standing outside the police car, after Frannie was picked up by the two police officers, outside her apartment, you can see a girl with a white shirt with black sleeves and a very short skirt passing by. After a few seconds, Detective Malloy goes back into the car and you can see the exact same girl passing by at the same direction as before and she even wears the exact same clothes.
Factual error: Sarah states that Namibia is on the Ivory Coast, while in fact, it is on the Skeleton Coast in southern Africa.
Continuity mistake: The first time at the station, Sweetu looks back at the camera representing Aman with a confused look on her face, mouth open a little bit, teeth clenched. During the Heartbeat instrumental song when they show a flashback of the same moment with Aman in the shot, Sweetu looks at him with a big smile on her face. You can see this because when her face turns her mouth is visibly wide open and her lips are curled upward. (00:10:35 - 00:20:40)
Audio problem: When John confronts Selima about the baby and they've walked out of the house and down the steps, from the side of her face you can see Selima's lips moving even though there is no sound coming out.
Continuity mistake: In the scene were Hans tries to hang himself, you can see that the chandelier falls down but in the next scene when O.J the owl flies underneath it, it is still there.
Visible crew/equipment: When Donna and her boyfriend leave his family's house in the end, in the front window of the house you can see a white van and film crew.
Continuity mistake: When Isabelle arrives in front of Roxy's apartment, you can see the cab driver close the trunk after he removes Isabelle's bags, but when Charles-Henri hands the driver his bags a moment later the trunk is still open.
Audio problem: Just after Molly gets fired and she sees Neal while crossing the street, he says something like, "...been able to write a decent song since I last saw you..." His lips don't match what he's saying.
Factual error: When Griet is introduced to the camera obscura, far too much light is projected onto Vermeer's and Griet's faces. Camera obscuras don't make their own light; rather the image produced on the viewing screen is always dull.
Continuity mistake: When Jason Lee is driving the car over the humps in the road, Julia Stiles is in the passenger seat. In the shot before they take off Jason Lee is in the driving seat, when they show the shot of the car in mid air Julia Stiles is now in the driving seat, and in the shot as the car lands they are back in the right seats.
Continuity mistake: In the scene at Mr Bingly's ball, where Lizzie is looking for Charlotte, she obviously notices her and starts walking towards her with her arms stretched out, palms down. In the next shot, her palms are turned upwards to take Charlotte's hands, who have hers palm down.
Factual error: At the beginning of the movie when Anthony Hopkins' character points out to the academic board the definition of "spooks" in the dictionary, it seems to be too close to the front of the dictionary to be in the S section. (00:07:10)
