Trivia: Never in Oscar Wilde's story was Dorian Gray invincible, as is depicted in the film. Nor did looking upon his picture kill him. Dorian regularly stood in front of the painting, observing the degradation of his soul. He was only killed when he tried to destroy the picture.

Trivia: The Spierig bros. went to their butcher and bought rotten chicken and pig guts to enhance the effects.

Trivia: If you look closely with time-frame advance during the pigeon scene you will see a fish "flying" into a window instead of a pigeon. (00:08:35)

Trivia: After Natalie shoves the 'ice cube' down Brinkman's throat, during the following melee, when Ronica Miles kicks one of Brinkman's men over the balcony the famous "Wilhelm" scream is heard as he falls.

Trivia: This is the first movie Jackie Chan uses special effects for his fighting.

Trivia: When Harrison Ford is walking through the old guy's mansion, there is a shot of them walking down a hallway. This is the same shot (and house for that matter) that was used in the movie Fletch when he was talking about how Hopalong Cassidy used to live in that house. The front of the house with the fountain in the middle of the circle driveway is also recognizable.

Trivia: When Roy is talking about his ideal life with Lynn, he mentions his three children, "Vera, Chuck and Dave," a very slick reference to the Beatles song "When I'm 64."

Trivia: There is one error in the Tag Team race: the street is not that long. (I should know, because my dad works on that street.) In the movie, it took a little while to finish getting down that street which was unbelievable, especially at the speed they were going. In reality, if you were to race down that street from where they started (without turning back) it would take you an estimated eight to nine seconds.

Trivia: Lara tells Terry that she will take "four minutes" with Chen Lo. The fight sequence between her and Chen Lo ends almost exactly four minutes later.

Trivia: This movie was so low budget that they actually used clips from other films for some scenes. When Steven Baldwin first meets Nicolette Sheridan, she's arguing with two tourists about the "rickety old" airplane they've booked a flight on. We never see the plane until it takes off, because all of the footage of the airplane is from the movie "Six Days, Seven Nights." When they're in the cockpit (a close-up, obviously a different plane), Nicolette is in the pilot's seat and Steven is on her right. When the plane is coming in for a landing, Harrison Ford is flying the plane and Anne Heche is in the co-pilot's seat. After the plane crashes, the four characters are sitting on the beach and the plane is nowhere to be seen.

Trivia: When Captain Aubrey makes the toast 'To wives and sweethearts - may they never meet' he is following a custom in the Royal Navy called the toast of the day. There was a special toast for every day of the week. This one in particular was usually for Saturdays. There is a minor mistake, however: tradition dictated that the proposer (in this case, the captain) would say the first part 'to wives and sweethearts', to which the most junior officer present would reply 'may they never meet'. Here is the list that seems to be most commonly followed dates from before Trafalgar, courtesy of the Canadian Navy website: Monday - our ships at sea, Tuesday - our men, Wednesday - ourselves, because no one else is likely to both, Thursday - a bloody war or a sickly season (to ensure quicker promotion), Friday - a willing foe and sea room (The two preceding seem to be of historical interest only), Saturday - wives and sweethearts - may they never meet (reply is made by the youngest officer present) Sunday - absent friends.

Trivia: When Émilien is following the commissaire dressed as Santa Claus, he stops for a moment at a market stand. On the wall is poster of "Wasabi," another movie from producer Luc Besson. (00:19:40)

Trivia: I don't speak Spanish, however, after asking my fiance (from Mexico) to carefully watch the scene when Memo talks to his right hand man, it explained the movie better. If you know Spanish and listen to the dialogue carefully, you hear Memo asking his right hand man to kill his son. That explains A LOT.

Trivia: At the start of the movie, when Juni says, "To finding lost toys", he finds a toy that bears a resemblance to Grandpa in the red armor in the game when he finds "Megalegs".

Trivia: Roger Donaldson's mother Dorothy appears as a bystander in a street scene where Colin Farrell is running for a taxi.

Trivia: The last conversation between Tom Arnold and that big guy is an obvious tribute to the conversation between the same two actors at the end of Exit Wounds. They even mention the latter in the former.

Trivia: It just so happened that on a day when they needed a wide angle lens to get a shot, for the over head view of Hank shooting through the wall at Nash, that the Spider-Man movie was being filmed only a few blocks away. The director of Spider-Man let the director of National Security borrow their lens long enough to get that shot, which was on screen for only about a second. (01:04:55)

Trivia: General Robert E. Lee was shown throughout the movie as wearing the three star insignia of a Colonel, rather than the three stars surrounded by a wreath as was the proper insignia for all Confederate generals. General Lee actually wore this throughout most if not all of the war, and this is accurate.
