Uncle Vernon: And Dudley, you will be?
Dudley Dursley: I'll be waiting to open the door.
Uncle Vernon: Excellent. And you?
Harry: I'll be in my bedroom, making no noise and pretending that I don't exist.
Meg: Open the door so I can give her the shot.
Burnham: If we open the door you'll shoot us.
Meg: So give her the shot yourself.
Jason Bourne: How could I forget about you? You're the only person I know.
Ellen Rimbauer: Houses... are alive. This is something we know. News from our nerve endings. If we're quiet, if we listen, we can hear houses breath. Sometimes, in the depth of the night, you can even hear them groan. It's as if they were having bad dreams. A good house cradles and comforts, a basd one fills us with instinctive unease. Bad houses hate our warmth and our human-ness. That blind hate of our humanity is what we mean when we use the word 'haunted'.
Shaggy: Sit grandma, bad grandma, don't eat the kitty.
Catherine: Suzon, I forgot one thing. I heard a strange sound. I looked through Augustine's keyhole, and I saw her standing at the mirror with something shiny. I thought nothing of it, but now I'm sure she was sharpening a knife.
Augustine: You liar! I was holding my mother-of-pearl comb and cleaning it.
Gaby: At 3:00 am?
Augustine: Combs never sleep.
Lewis Bartholomew: I want to make it perfectly clear that even if we wanted to, which we don't, we couldn't force you to do it. Your decision must be entirely your own, Mrs. Lake.
Regina Lambert: What decision?
Lewis Bartholomew: To work with us.
Regina Lambert: If you think I'm getting mixed up in this, you're absolutely bonkers.
Kate Filmore: This guy sure moves quickly, he's just gone.
Samantha Harper: You're thinking about the cop, aren't you?
Katie Burke: Maybe.
Samantha Harper: Okay, visualize this with me. You're down in New York consulting with Lou Gerstner or the head of GE telling them how to buy South American countries but on the weekends, you fly back up here to hang out with the cop, do cop things, maybe go to cop mixers.
Katie Burke: I like the cop.
Samantha Harper: Yeah, um, I can see that.
Snow: How much sleep ya need, Kelvin?
Chris Kelvin: How much sleep?
Snow: Yeah. Um, how long ya think you can go without sleep?
Chris Kelvin: Depends.
Snow: Well, when you do go to sleep... I find I sleep much better with the door locked.
