The sound is the same volume and quality as when Earl was using the microphone, which he is not using now. Even if Clark used super-hearing to eavesdrop, it wouldn't sound the same as the microphone. Audio problem: After Frohike says "There must be a file dated the day of Jeff's murder", his lips are still moving but no sound is coming out. (00:15:15)
Audio problem: At the very end of the scene where Trip persuades Malcolm to help him look for the station's computer, he hands Malcolm the PADD. Malcolm taps twice on the PADD as if he's working on something but there's no accompanying sound effect.
