Bandits picture

Factual error: Two problems with the end of the movie - first, a doctor must declare death officially before bodies can be bagged, and second, the bodies cannot be moved until a full investigation is performed.

The Mexican picture

Factual error: When Gandolfini has the shoot-out with the black assassin, it just doesn't make any sense that the cops who are nearby investigating the "suicide" of Gandolfini's boyfriend don't hear the gunshots and get involved. If the guns had silencers, the whole scene would be more sensible. Come to think of it, the sound-effects used in the shootings sound much like silenced shots but it shows that both weapons are unsilenced.

Save the Last Dance picture

Factual error: It's established that the kids live in and go to school on the South Side (south of the Loop), and much is made of the fact that Malakai has nothing but his "respect" within his neighbourhood. At the movie's end, where Malakai wants Derek to accompany him on the robbery/murder, he tells Derek, "Meet me at 47th street, under the El." Yet when Derek runs off and jumps on the train to go meet Sara, we see him getting on a Brown Line train - those trains can only be found on the North side, miles and miles away from 47th street. In addition, his train is shown heading SOUTH toward the Loop, which means in order to be going that direction on that train he'd have rode on the train for about an hour, past the Loop entirely, then gotten off and turned back around toward the Loop again.

Joe Dirt picture

Factual error: At the end when Joe, Brandy, Clem and Charlene, the alligator woman are in Joe's 1967 Plymouth GTX, Robby claims his car is faster. Charlene chides back about his Trans Am, saying 'you think you can match that little old slant six against his 426 Hemi?" Pontiac Trans-Am's did not come with slant sixes, a Dodge motor. His was obviously a V-8, and would have most likely have been a 400, but we get the 'yours is really small' reference.

Saving Silverman picture

Factual error: When Judith wakes up chained to the engine block she notices the Sony camera on a pole. The guys are presumably watching her through that camera. The problem is that there are no cables running from that camera to provide the video feed to the TV. Sony cameras always have the video output connections on the front right hand side. There are no cables attached to this camera. (00:35:40)

Dr. Dolittle 2 picture

Factual error: The beehive is a large part of this story for Archie wants to get it down for Ava. But bees do not make hives like that. The type of hive that they show is similar to a wasp's. (01:02:35)

Charlotte Gray picture

Factual error: In the scene where the resistance blow up a German train, the locomotive is a British one. The number is shown as 92240. This engine is owned by the Bluebell railway, who are named in the credits. It wasn't even built until around 1955. It seems to be the same engine pulling the train to the concentration camp later in the film. Remarkably fast repairers, those Nazis.

Shallow Hal picture

Factual error: When Hal meets Rosie's mom, she is a large woman but her hands are skinny. If someone is the size as her character, they would have large hands as well.

Suggested correction: Actually when Hal first meets Rosemary's Mom, she is shown skinny as does Rosemary through the way that Hal sees them. It's not until later in the movie after Hal's hypnosis is gone do we (and Hal) see the "real" fat mom and rosemary and their hands do look a bit larger by then.

It is obvious that Rosemary and her mother are wearing 'fat' suits as neither women are large in real life. The suggested correction in invalid as throughout the movie, the only time Rosemary's hands appear large are in spots. (eating the taffy apple when she met Jill, and rubbing Hal's cheek when he had the goop on his eyes. Yet you never see the full body with a face in those shots.) Therefore, as I stated in the factual error, when Hal meets Rosie's mom at the end (at the party), she is wearing a fat suit, but her hands and Rosie's are skinny. It's a valid movie error.

Someone Like You picture

Factual error: The whole "new cow" theory is completely false. Any farmer or anyone with common sense knows this is not true. A bull will mate with any cow in heat, whether he has been with her before or not. The entire movie is based on a sham.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back picture

Factual error: Near the end of the film, during the big shootout scene, there are 2 girls vs. Will Farrell. If you play the movie in slow-motion, you can see that the guns the girls are shooting continue to shoot fire out of the barrel several times, even though the slide is locked back. When a handgun's slide locks back, the magazine is empty. How could they still be shooting when there are clearly no bullets left?

Y Tu Mama Tambien picture

Factual error: Ana's mother, "a French divorcée," according to the movie, teaches at cepe, which is a college within the National Autonomous University of Mexico specifically for foreign students. However, I attended cepe, and non-native Spanish speaking teachers would not have been allowed to teach there, as the entire point of cepe was to introduce the Spanish language and Mexican history/culture to foreign students.
