Revealing mistake: When Alejandra comes to John's room the first time you see distinct t-shirt marks on John's upper body, his arms as tanned as his neck and face. Revealing mistake: When the U-571's crew member starts firing the MG-34 at the survivors in the rowboat, you can see the ammo belt is all blanks.
Revealing mistake: Joseph White is having his glasses fixed by Ann. Ann asks a local passer by for some fishing line from her fishing kit. As the glasses are being fixed Joseph gets a fishing hook stuck in his finger. At first we see the hook embedded in his finger, but in the next cut we see Joseph showing the finger and hook to Ann. You can see that the line and hook are tied around his finger.
Revealing mistake: In the shot where Ben Stiller and Jenna Elfman are in the hallway kissing goodbye, it's obvious that Ben Stiller is standing on something to make him the same height as Jenna Elfman, who is much taller than him in real life.
Revealing mistake: In the first morgue scene the body on the table is obviously breathing.
