Continuity mistake: At the Unicorn Bar Evie takes a photo of "Drumstrings" Casey performing as Faye-Jean dances in front of him. Both Drumstrings and Faye-Jean are facing Evie with Faye-Jean holding a beer bottle over her head in her left arm. Later when Evie looks at the photo, it has been taken from the side and Faye-Jean is facing a different direction, no arms above her head and is not holding a beer.
Factual error: This film takes place on New Year's eve in the year 1981, yet between a couple of scenes, it shows the streets of New York filled with modern-day cars and taxis.
Continuity mistake: In the fox hunt scene Hippolyta is initially shown riding a horse with her dress firmly tucked under her. The following shot of her has the dress flying partially up around her waist and exposing a fair amount of flesh. The subsequent shots again have her dress firmly tucked under her.
Continuity mistake: When Christine comes to Dr. Keener's door her hair is parted in the middle. The camera shows her from behind when she walks in, and we can see that the front hair is tied back over the parting, also in the next shot when she sits at the table. Then, after she drinks a glass of water, her hair is loose again. (00:08:10)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, when Portia and Andrew are lying in their "beds," they are holding hands. In all of the far away shots, Andrew's hand is on top, but in the close shots, it is underneath. (01:59:20)
Continuity mistake: When Maggie and Ike are talking outside at the luau, Ike's flower necklace is in a different place every other shot. (01:11:15)
Revealing mistake: When Whiplash is in the cave and Dudley comes and checks it out, the cave falls in. You can see a black curtain fall down while the screen goes black.
Continuity mistake: When the Tigers are coming to bat in the third inning, the announcer says that they have 2 hits so far, but the scoreboard at Yankee stadium just showed them as having 0.
Continuity mistake: When he sends her the invitation for the christening, she opens and reads it and its on her desk when her boss walks in. When he's in, she picks it up and opens it again.
Continuity mistake: Right after the debate in the House of Commons, Robert talks to Gertrude in the hall way. Behind them is a statue head. Several shots later that statue head magically moves to the opposite wall where Arthur "talks" to it.
Factual error: When Ben and Sarah are on top of the train, they shout and it echoes, but there are no flat surfaces for their voices to reverberate off of.
Factual error: Set in the summer of 1977, serial killer David Berkowitz is seen throughout the film wearing a US Army woodland camouflage pattern field jacket. The Army did not start using these jackets nor were any ever made until the early 1980's. They were all solid green until then.
Continuity mistake: When Diane Lane returns Viggo Mortensen's jacket to him in his garden near the end of the film, the jacket is already in the scene, lying on the fence. The camera then cuts to Lane approaching the garden with the jacket in her hands.
Continuity mistake: At the cheer-leading practice, the coach reminds the girls they need to pick their uniforms for the big game. Yet, when Meagan is on the way to True Directions and she passes the bus with the cheerleaders on it, they are wearing the same uniforms they wore to practice that day.
Other mistake: When Zach is watching Laney at the show, there are two shots where Laney, Mitch and the little people say, "Be silent, be still". In the first, Mitch's legs are far apart and on the ground, and in the second shot his legs are very close together, with no time to move. (00:22:35)
Continuity mistake: Sarah Michelle Gellar is preparing for a date and switching purses in her bedroom. The shots are going between her and whoever she is talking to. One of the purses disappears then magically reappears.
Continuity mistake: When Hugh Grant is about to propose in the restaurant near the start, his girlfriend's hair keeps moving from in front of her ear to behind and back again with each change of shot.
Other mistake: In the scene where Fanny Price is caught in the rain, she drops apples from her basket. When she is collecting them from the ground she puts the apples back in the basket, except sometimes she doesn't actually pick up an apple. Clearly, she only pretends to put apples back.
Other mistake: When Nicole is on "Wake up Time Zone" talking about Centennial her hair is almost to her shoulders. As you see her watching it in home room, it is much shorter.
Factual error: The song Olga and Lensky sing at the piano was written in the first half of the 20th century, while the events happen about 100 years earlier.
