Factual error: At one point late in the film, Terry says she called in a favor to the "District Attorney" after Lim was arrested. In Chicago, where the film is set and where the arrest took place, there are State's Attorneys, not District Attorneys. Terry, a lawyer practicing in Chicago, would most definitely have known that.
Factual error: At the end of the movie, Wally pushes Kyle into the big vat of fudge after he made fun of the Beaver. When fudge is in liquid form, it is extraordinarily hot, and would have burned the child severely.
Factual error: The sirens on French ambulances have two distinct tones, not a single oscillating one.
Factual error: As Danny arrives in Hollywood at the beginning of the film, the Hollywood sign can be seen. The film is set in 1939 so the sign should still read Hollywoodland, as it did until 1949. (00:03:00)
Factual error: In the scene where Deliverance is showing Mark her dad's hot rod, most of what she says about it is wrong. A rebuilt special edition 428 Hemi? Fuel injection for a 727? If it is a Hemi, it's a four-twenty-SIX and a 727 is a Plymouth transmission. You cannot fuel inject one. (00:43:43)
Suggested correction: She says "enough fuel injection for a 747"
Factual error: When the girls are heading to the Albert Hall, they take a very bizarre route. For them to cross Tower Bridge and pass Battersea Power Station, they would have to travel right through the centre of London, where the Albert Hall is located.
Factual error: The Yoder household is supposed to be a strict Amish ordinance; however, there are curtains on the windows which is forbidden in the Amish community.
Factual error: The establishing shot of the film shows an art gallery with the subtitle 'The Royal National Gallery, London'. Not only is there no such museum (its closest match being simply the 'National Gallery'), but the shot actually shows the Tate Britain, complete with visible red banner outside saying 'Tate Gallery'.
Factual error: I seriously doubt that any police detective would single-handedly go and question any suspects alone. By themselves, at least two or three officers will be present when going to any address of a suspect for questioning, in case of a dangerous encounter.
Factual error: Rupert is driving Julia to the airport but the road signs for I-90 and Mannheim Road are at Ohare airport. She seems to leave from Ohare and arrive at Ohare. (00:10:08)
Factual error: At the Spanish restaurant, the TV newsletter broadcasts a senator speaking, and the title "Sénador" below. The word has no accent mark.
Factual error: George's "dog", Shep, is an Asian elephant. However, the jungle scenes take place in Africa.
Factual error: The opening line references a solar eclipse happening in Italy on October 13 1996, but gets it one day wrong. The phenomenon happened on October 12. (00:00:30)
