Character mistake: Fitch, who professes qualifications in biology, genetics and biochemistry, says that they made Sil female because she's a natural predator and so she'd be more docile. In almost every species of predator on earth the females are the hunters, aggressors and killers. The males may be socially dominant but they are the 'docile' ones. There are exceptions but Fitch speaks as if female and docile are the same thing - and they definitely are not.
Factual error: No electricity, yet the washer is running.
Continuity mistake: When the white boy is standing outside the car talking to the gangbanger inside the car, the gangster's sunglasses disappear depending on the camera angle.
Continuity mistake: As Brian lands the plane down to Bangor, his headset is on in a frontal shot, but in a reverse shot it isn't. (00:47:05)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, Nix threatens young Dorthea with a real madrill, but that's all we see of it. It's never shown being put away, and it's not there when Swann and his crew break in to incapacitate Nix.
Continuity mistake: When Denzel Washington is injected with the tracking device,it is injected behind his ear. But later, when he looks at his cop friend and says something to the effect of "Get my gun", the band-aid is on the side of his neck.
Revealing mistake: When Dracula goes to grab the cell bars on the window to free Reinfeld, the bars are obviously not metal as they shake and have a slight bend to them.
Continuity mistake: In the last scene on the roof when Holly Hunter shoots the serial killer, he falls backwards. The gun is in his left hand and the path is next to his left hand. The camera then goes to the rear of Sigourney as she walks toward Holly. Only now the serial killer is on the other side of the path and the left hand holding the gun is no longer next to the path.
Continuity mistake: The cop shoots his six shooters nine times when he's in the attic.
Revealing mistake: Brayker shoots The Collector through the eye with an arrow just after he's collected the key from Roach. You can see the section of the arrow shaft that sticks out the back of The Collector's head bend as his head hits the floor after he falls over the upstairs railing and crashes through the coffee table.
Continuity mistake: When Amanda is about to die, she gets dragged by the corn plants and they pull her shoes off. But then when she is running away she has her shoes back. Then when she slips on the pole she has socks on. (00:43:30)
Continuity mistake: When the school janitor jumps from the roof then falls on a parked car, his head is turned to the right and it's obvious that it's a dummy. Two shots later, when Dr. Chafee puts his hand on the neck to take a pulse, the head is turned to the left and the body has changed position.
Continuity mistake: There is a color change on Darkman's burned skin. In the beginning of the movie, in his lab, his burns are pretty much flesh colored. Later on in the movie, they are a much darker red and brown.
Revealing mistake: After Lucifer kills Gabriel, we get close-ups of Lucifer where the outline of his contact lenses are visible.
Continuity mistake: Becker is the last to go through the hatch into the NEB bunker, but when the camera switches to the view inside the bunker, Becker is seen already on the walkway while the others are still climbing down the ladder.
Revealing mistake: When the tube is being inserted into Crazy K's nose, an imperfection in the tube is visible near the orderly's fingers. It doesn't move, despite the orderly "inserting" the tube.
Revealing mistake: When Annie's boyfriend is killed, she runs over to Candyman and scratches his face open and bees pour out. You can easily see the head is a prop.
Revealing mistake: When Dwight is falling down the stairs, you can easily tell that it's a (much older) stuntman.
Suggested correction: This entry is so wrong, I don't quite know where to begin. The idea that all species, without exception, have the females as the aggressors and the males as docile is absolutely one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read. It is not backed up by fact in the slightest. They also did use human DNA; they added the sample of alien DNA to it to create Sil.
The posting states that there are exceptions to the rule and specifically states "almost every species." The mistake is not that a female must be "docile". It is that a scientist professing qualifications in biology, genetics, and biochemistry would make such a stupid statement, believing it to be invariably true.
However, there are exceptions; any one species makes this possible. I will start with African Lions. In Africa, the female lions are the main aggressors.

Suggested correction: They never said Sil was a natural predator when they created her. She was half human and half alien and it was their belief that human females are more docile (i.e. more motherly, more gentle, more empathetic, and less aggressive than human males). Although the reply to "more docile and controllable" was "you guys don't get out much", meaning that girls aren't that docile and controllable.
