Character mistake: During the end credits, three of the magazine covers spell Whoopi's character's name as "Delores." Two of the covers spell it "Deloris," as do the credits.
Character mistake: During the game against the Cardinals in the playoffs, the announcer says that Averman passed to Guy who then scored. First, Guy does pass the puck back to Averman, but then he passes it to Banks who scores the second goal, propelling them to the playoffs.
Character mistake: In the end of the film during the protest, Ray Liotta is operating on a man. At the start of the operation Ray's surgical glove is torn, exposing the thumb on his right hand as he points into the opening on the patient's chest.
Character mistake: Lisa is testifying about the 1963 Pontiac Tempest and the 1964 Buick Skylark being the same height, width, and wheelbase. While the Tempest and Skylark shared the same components, the 1963 and 1964 models were quite different from each other. The 1964 Skylark and Tempest moved to a 115 inch wheelbase and a larger body and frame. The 1963 Skylark and Tempest were smaller with a 112 inch wheelbase. An expert as she claims to be wouldn't confuse the two.
Character mistake: When nurse McTavish checks mum's pulse, she uses her thumb. Any nurse worth her salt knows that thumbs have their own pulse and that one needs to use the index and middle finger to get an accurate pulse. (00:30:10)
Character mistake: When Andy calls Linda, as Linda and Steve are hooking up, he addresses her (on the answering machine) as Tammy.
Character mistake: In the opening game Ellen Sue is pitching but the announcer states Kit is pitching.
Suggested correction: Kit is on the mound. Ellen Sue is playing short stop. But she's the one who beans the guy making fun of the girls, she just wasn't pitching.
