Other mistake: When Seagal is in the factory in Jamaica, a "Jamaican" bad guy jumps up from behind a barrel, you can see that he is in fact white - you can see the make-up line on his neck, and his wig is crooked.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr. crash upside down in the jungle, the windshield of the helicopter breaks out. When they release their belts, the windshield is visibly taped back together for them to crash through.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film, when the SEALs are in the inflatable boats heading towards the coast of Beirut, there is a shot from behind showing all the SEALs wearing black diving suits. But when the shot changes to a close up of their faces, you can see they are wearing camouflage fatigues, not diving suits.
Continuity mistake: When the delegates assemble in the Great Hall, it is first shown that Canada is sitting to the left of Morocco. But shortly afterwards, Morocco is suddenly sitting to the left of Iceland, and Canada has mysteriously vanished.
Continuity mistake: The telephone on Scrooge's desk briefly disappears after his maid delivers an invitation to the archaeological society ball. (00:19:05)
Revealing mistake: During the party scene, when Jacob starts hallucinating, you can see the stick that one of the fake birds is attached to.
Continuity mistake: When Richard Gere is driving through the city in his Corvette convertible, he starts with the top down, then you see the car with the hard top bolted on, then again without.
Visible crew/equipment: As Nikita is dragged from the courtroom by the police, she rolls around. You can see that a pad has been taped to her lower back for protection. (00:11:45)
Plot hole: Detective Mason Storm has been in a coma for a number of years, so how is it that on the day he awakens from the coma, he not only has the strength to move his bed down corridors, but also knows the layout of the hospital?
Factual error: Asystole (the lack of cardiac activity, also known as the 'flatline') is not treated with defibrillation (electric shocks) but with alternating doses of the drugs epinephrine and atropine.
Continuity mistake: When the mother is putting icing on a cake she destroyed during baking, in the next shot she is shown walking over to Steve Guttenberg's animation table and the icing is gone from the cake.
Continuity mistake: At the end, when Jack shoots the main bad guy, he had already double-tapped somebody, but then shoots at least 5 more shots from a 6-shot revolver.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, Jack parks the car in front of a palm tree and walks onto the beach. The shot changes while he stands there for a few minutes. As the shot changes back to show him walking off the beach, the car is no longer in front of the tree, nor does he drive by during the credits. I hope he enjoys his walk back to Miami.
Continuity mistake: When the girls go to Steppes, Sara's skirt is only just above her knees, yet when she gets home and argues with her Dad the skirt has shrunk to just below her bottom.
Continuity mistake: When Harry Maddox is about to go for a ride with Dolly Harshaw, he reaches for his shirt and is mesmerized by the legs of his other love interest, Gloria Harper. Gloria catches Harry admiring her, with her head turned backwards, cigarette poised near her lips. In the frames immediately preceding this moment, she clearly does not have a cigarette, lit or unlit, anywhere near her.
Continuity mistake: When the nurse is wrapping a tensor bandage (also known as an Ace bandage) around Kinderman's hand and wrist, the way the bandage is wrapped changes between shots.
Other mistake: When Casey's men are robbing the Triads, Abbott says "Don't move or you're dead." He then turns to his left, and while facing left, he shoots two of the red Mercedes' tires. However, he is standing directly behind the Mercedes, so it would be impossible for him to turn to his left and shoot two of the car's tires.
Factual error: After Robert De Niro awakens, Robin Williams takes him on a ride around New York and Robert is amazed by all the surroundings. The movie is set in the early 1970s, but you can see plenty of vehicles around from the time that the movie was filmed (1990). Notice the square headlights that originally appeared in the late 70's.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Barney is headed home from work right before his wife leaves him for the athlete, the sun looks like it's morning sun. After about 30-45 seconds into the conversation with his wife why she is leaving, the sun changes to a late afternoon. It is very apparent on the mailbox. The shadows completely change direction in a matter of minutes. (00:08:20)
Continuity mistake: Dabney Coleman and the villain fight on the scaffolding on the side of a skyscraper high above the city. They are the only two people on the scaffold, but during the fight at the bottom of the screen you can clearly see a man's head.
