Continuity mistake: In the last ten minutes, Sam Neil is on a raft and Nicole Kidman pulls him aboard a schooner while it is moving, getting Sam's blue shirt soaked. When the camera changes to aboard the schooner, his blue shirt is completely dry. His hair is very wet though.
Continuity mistake: When Wallace races to get crackers, check the packet's logo. When the camera angle changes it's different. (00:08:57)
Revealing mistake: In a shower scene, the camera moves to a point which allows us to see the shorts that Dexter is wearing to keep his modesty.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, Larry is watching Maria at the wedding reception. The flowers change on Maria's table, and a plate and glass appear.
Continuity mistake: After the girls arrive in Myrtle Beach and are getting ready to go out, Luannne has ratted Carson's hair really big, when Meliana takes over doing Carson's hair, in just a few strokes it is much flatter.
Continuity mistake: When Dorinda comes to see Pete off the last time she throws her bike on the runway. When it falls down the front wheel turns so that it almost points backwards, but when she picks it up later it points ahead. (00:31:30)
Continuity mistake: When the devil sets Toxie on fire, there's a group of five people standing there with empty buckets. But in the next shot the buckets are filled with water.
Factual error: When Harry is standing on the ceiling fan, the young boy pulls the lever backwards to increase the speed. If you read the side of the lever, you can see that the boy is actually pulling the lever to the slow direction. (00:40:30)
Continuity mistake: When Lucas and his family are watching TV, Donna is sitting on the right side of the couch with her arm on the arm rest. When it cuts she has moved to the middle of the couch. (00:49:50)
Continuity mistake: Sherman helps Louise put on her uniform from the back, but the zipper is in the front. When she turns around, no seams/zippers/etc. appear on the back of the uniform. This takes place just as she gets out of the shower.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Sean Connery is in prison & Matthew Broderick is visiting - the camera alternates between looking into the cell (at Sean) and looking out (at Matthew). Watch the hands that are holding on to the cell bars - they move each time you get a new shot.
Audio problem: Much of Karen's drumming is not in sync with the drum sounds.
Continuity mistake: When Joe is answering Dr. Woodruff's question on the structures supplied via the Descending Thoracic Aorta, he closes the cadaver's chest. The camera pans away, then comes back and he is closing the chest again.
Continuity mistake: When Jerry goes to the plane from England to USA, the plane is white and has a TWA logo. When he arrives, the plane is silver, and the logo is one of the American Airlines.
Continuity mistake: The snowman hits his nose with a hammer, completely bending it in half. In the next shot it is suddenly magically straight again.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning Rutger Hauer cuts off a police officer's hand with his sword, for a split second afterwards you can see the officer turning away with both hands clearly intact. The scene happens right after the young kid's mother is killed.
Continuity mistake: In the end of the movie when Farrah Fawcett is on trial, her fingernails are fairly short and not polished. Later when the verdict is read and she places her hands on her stomach, her nails are suddenly long and polished.
Revealing mistake: During the scene where the remote guns are firing from the back of the car you can see one of the 'dead' soldiers sitting up to look at the action around him before lying back down.
Factual error: In the opening scene when the guys are shooting craps, Little Quick shoots the large man squarely between the eyes. The man wasn't looking downward and it would have been impossible for a 4 foot tall kid to shoot a 6 foot tall man at that angle squarely in the forehead.
Continuity mistake: When Brian spends his first night in the underground monster world he goes in wearing a shirt and boxer shorts. But a later scene shows him wearing a shirt, pants, and shoes. He then goes back home and is back in his shirt and boxer shorts.
Suggested correction: It's entirely possible that he was able to borrow a pair of pants while down there.
I just watched the scene where Maurice and Brian pull the pranks to get the kids into trouble and he is in his pyjamas. Later in the monster world he is in a full outfit including a shirt, pants, and shoes. Then he goes back home and he is in his pyjamas again.
