Continuity mistake: Before going to the theatre to watch Neil's performance, the boys are grooming themselves at the school. Todd has combed his hair backwards and styling remedies has been applied. But when the group are about to leave the theatre after the play and Neil and his father passes them at the entrance, Todd has his regular hairdo again.
Continuity mistake: When Alice and Mark are collecting all the sheets from the floor, Alice looks at a sheet about Amanda Krueger. Then in the next wide shot as her dad calls for her, all the sheets are in a pile to her right. Then in the following closeup, she starts picking up sheets of paper from all around her. (00:53:35)
Continuity mistake: During a car chase, the "killer" is rushing a little girl to the hospital. As they pass the sign, it reads (in English) "Scared Heart Hospital" - instead of "Sacred".
Continuity mistake: During the last scene, right before Louise takes off her necklace, Brad is seen dancing with his jacket on. Seconds later when we see him again he has his coat off and now he's on the side of the dance floor.
Continuity mistake: In one scene we are looking at a shopping complex known as Greenspring Station which Nina is being chased through. Somehow she winds up being chased through a K-Mart. Anyone familiar with the Baltimore area, where the movie was shot, knows for a fact that there is not a K-Mart anywhere near that ritzy section of town.
Continuity mistake: During the big fight scene at the end of the movie, both Nick and Sato become totally saturated and covered in mud. Nick defeats Sato, and is shown to have immediately arrested Sato and brought him to the police station. It is clear they came directly to the station from the fight, yet there is now hardly any mud on either of them.
Continuity mistake: During the family dinner, the level of the wine in all the characters' glasses changes from one shot to the next.
Continuity mistake: When the reindeer gets into the house and runs around, it knocks over a TV set. All of the magazines that are on top of the set come crashing to the ground, including a TV Guide with "Get Ready For A Fabulous February" (or something like that) in big letters on the cover. Interesting since the movie is set around Christmas time.
Continuity mistake: When Joe Clark is having his talk with Sams on the edge of the roof of the school, Sams is on the right and Clark is on the left (when viewed from the ground). When they're done talking, Sams turns to his left and walks away - turning to his left would have made him fall off the roof after just a few steps.
Continuity mistake: In the race for King of the Mountain, Anthony wipes out and begins cursing. Then, in the next shot, he has to spit out some snow before he can curse again.
Continuity mistake: When Amy is in the kitchen cleaning, she starts mopping the floor, then dancing with the mop held upside down. The mop starts out wet, but when she's dancing it's dry (either that or she would be getting dirty mop water in her face while the mop is being flung around).
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Shirley and her daughter Milandra argue about Shirley going on holiday, Milandra gets out of bed and dresses quickly, her shirt is tucked into her jeans. She walks out and the camera angle changes to a view of her front, her shirt is now loose outside her jeans.
Continuity mistake: During the car accident Miss Daisy is wearing a beige dress. Later she looks out of the window at the towing activities and is wearing a red dress. When Boolie argues with her about her driving she is wearing a green dress. This is happening within too short a time to explain all this unnecessary changing. (00:03:35)
Continuity mistake: When Fletch goes to visit Calculus in his shack, he knocks on the window and sees Calculus sitting in a chair, wearing boots. The next shot, as Fletch is walking inside, Calculus is now wearing socks and no boots, despite never having left the seated position, nor having had any time to slide his feet out of the boots. Continuity mistake: During the "exciting" conclusion, Investigator Natsuo runs toward the villain's vehicle, jumps, and kicks through the windshield. Besides the fact that there are some poor special effects at work, watch this quick shot closely. As he is flying through the air in that split second, the villain's car changes colour! It is quite obvious, as the car goes from a dark red color to dull grey.
Continuity mistake: When Lurleen changes lanes to pass the Ferrari, the lane change isn't reversed when Lea sees it in the Ferrari's rearview.
Continuity mistake: At one point, when they time-travel away from "1,000,000 B.C.", Bill is on the left inside the phone booth and Ted is on the right. When the camera switches away, then back, they've changed sides.
Continuity mistake: When Patrick Swazee's brother is in the van and is being chased by the guys trying to steal the van, the guys place a blue light on the roof of the car. The first shot of the car the light is on the passenger side. In all the rest of the shots, the light is on the driver's side of the car.
Continuity mistake: In the last ten minutes, Sam Neil is on a raft and Nicole Kidman pulls him aboard a schooner while it is moving, getting Sam's blue shirt soaked. When the camera changes to aboard the schooner, his blue shirt is completely dry. His hair is very wet though.
Continuity mistake: When Tom Cruise is lying in his hospital bed and begins freaking out, he knocks over a pitcher from the small table next to him. In the next shot the pitcher is back on top of the table. (00:57:00)
