The Royale - S2-E12
Factual error: 30 seconds in Geordi says: 'surface temperature -291 degrees Celsius'. (The scale only goes down to -273.15 which is absolute zero). (00:00:30)
Poppy's By the Tree (1) - S2-E1
Factual error: At the end of the episode, the killer shoves a long machete up through the mattress. This isn't possible considering he's under a bed and there's not enough vertical space to shove a machete straight up.
Factual error: Throughout this series we are treated to a set of the House of Commons. Whilst it's almost accurate in nearly every detail, it misses out one crucial aspect. The set only has 4 rows of seating, the real House of Commons has 5.
Factual error: David Jason's character visits the bank to pick up the share certificates left to him by a previous Master. Much to his surprise the bank manager tells him that these shares are now worth £500,000. The bank manager looks at the certificates, then at a screen by his desk before making the calculation very quickly in his head. Given that the certificates are decades old this is impossible. It would take a considerable amount of time to work out the new number of shares that the certificates would entitle the bearer to based on share splits and consolidations over the years. Also, the shares would be denominated in pre-decimal currency so they would have to be revalued based on the conversion rate at the time Britain went decimal. It would be a time consuming and painful task to decide their new value.
Factual error: After Steve practised changing a baby on the stuffed toy monkey he and Danny leave Michelle's bedroom and walk into the hallway. But the bedroom you see them leaving from when in the hallway would historically be Jesse's bedroom at the time. When they are in Michelle's bedroom in the shot previous to the hallway, the hallway from the bedroom also looks as if they are in Jesse's room based on the view.
Factual error: Aunt Petunia says that the chalice was first seen in the Stone Age, and sends Paul and Barry back to where Stonehenge is just being completed. However, the Stone Age actually ended in around 3300 BC. Stonehenge is believed to have been constructed in around 2500 BC, which was the Bronze Age.
Michelangelo's Birthday - S3-E31
Factual error: The very beginning of the episode shows Michelangelo's Birthday circled on the calendar, and it is shown as the second Tuesday of the month as well as being the 13th day. The second Tuesday of a month can never be the 13th. The earliest the 13th of a month can be is the second Thursday.
Suggested correction: This is simply wrong. If a month starts on a Thursday, the first Tuesday will be the 6th, and the second will be the 13th.
