Other mistake: In the opening scene is a paragraph describing why the Top Gun school was started. The word "insure" is used when the word should have been "ensure". They wanted to guarantee the U.S. had superior pilots, not take out an insurance policy.
Other mistake: Teddy's hair changes in every shot after being dunked in the swamp. The strap to his bag disappears and reappears as well.
Other mistake: In the scene where Cameron is sinking in the pool you can clearly see some kind of weight belt or something around his waist, which isn't there when he is out of the pool.
Other mistake: When Fievel And Tony reunite on the streets of New York, Tony gets a piece of cheese off of a mouse trap. Watch that piece of cheese, cause Tony throws it up in the air, and you never see it come back down. (00:33:25)
Other mistake: After the brief fight between Barnes & Chris, when Barnes has Chris pinned, he cuts him below the left eye with a knife. It is a quick cut with a sharp knife, but instead of a thin bright red line we see instantly a blob of dark blood. This is plain sloppy.
Other mistake: When Seth comes out of the pod for the second time and the girl is watching him she moves her leg reveling panties. However, Seth comes over and they start intercourse. How? He doesn't even move her underwear to one side.
Other mistake: When Sarah smokes in James' office he tells her that he doesn't like it because of the fire hazard. Therefore, it doesn't fit in the picture that he doesn't react when she puts out her cigarette in the waste paper basket, certainly a serious fire hazard and worth checking even if James' comment had been a joke. (00:22:40)
Other mistake: The Hitcher reverses his pick-up truck out of the gas station after he drops the lighted match. His wheels, wheel arches and perhaps the underside of the truck would have been soaked in petrol as he drove over the gushing pumps. So as he was burning rubber during this manoeuvre - this would have ignited the petrol on his truck.
Other mistake: When Eddie sees himself reflected in the ball, his reflection is not reversed. (01:46:30)
Other mistake: When Eugene discovers that it really is Blind Dog Fulton, he (Fulton) says that he needs to get out to help Eugene find that lost song. Eugene says that he will be here at "5:00 a.m." When they breakout - which took all of about maybe 10 minutes, it's very light for the morning time. Looks to be maybe 6:30 by daylight savings time.
Suggested correction: Aside from the fact that daylight continuity is seldom strictly observed in any film, you should be aware that dawn on the East Coast visibly begins breaking over the Atlantic at around 4:30 to 5:00 AM during Daylight Savings Time. The sun may not have cleared the horizon, but the sky is really quite bright in New York City (and the whole East Coast) by 5:00 AM.
The time of sunrise varies and, although it isn't pointed out what month they left the nursing home, it is suggested that it was during the academic year - not a summer month when sunrise would be within the earliest time frame. Astronomical, nautical and civil twilight (all 6° or more below the horizon) do not radiate the amount of light shown in the movie. Moreover, it did not appear to get lighter out as they traveled, suggesting they departed after daylight, which would be well after 5 AM.
Other mistake: The timekeeper stops the clock when Jason charges in saving Ian, but kept it going just fine for a minute when the official for the match was roundhouse-kicked to the curb, a fat kid bit an athlete and everything was obviously not legitimate in any way or form.
Other mistake: Taylor parks his car in Cuesta Verde, next to a couple of crates next to the pilot's door. He steps down and walks straight without looking down, which is impossible for he should have tripped.
Other mistake: As the plane is beginning to crash, Chuck grabs the watch with his girlfriend's photo in it, and somehow it survives everything, but how? He had the watch in his hand, but in many shots we can see Chuck with both hands open as he needs them to hold onto something. He didn't put it in his pocket, he didn't have time.
Other mistake: The end credits are plagued by the biggest compilation of spelling mistakes you'll ever see. The French cast in particular has 2 out of 2 actors with their names wrong (PallarOy instead of PallarDy, a female, Danièle, turned into a male Daniel) and so many errors in the technical cast to make some of them impossible to identify.
