Continuity mistake: During the jail breakout, when Jake tries to open the ORV's door, in the shot facing Francis he is holding the gun in his left hand as he tries to open the door for his brother with his right hand. In the next shot facing Jake just before shouts, "I don't have the handle, open the lock!" Francis's gloved left hand is empty, and next shot, the gun can be seen in his right hand. (00:01:45)
Continuity mistake: When everyone is in the Library, you can see the matches in a cup on the left of the fireplace. When Professor Plum says, "Wait a minute, suppose that one of us is the murderer," you can also see that the matches are in a "V" shape. When Wadsworth walks towards them to pull the matches out, most of them are all leaning to the left side of the cup. As the movie goes on, when the cop gets locked up in the Library for the second time, the same amount of matches are in the holding cup as if Wadsworth did not pull them out and they are in a straight line. Continuity mistake: Glenn Close's outfit changes four times during the same courtroom scene, while she is giving her opening statement in front of the jury.
Continuity mistake: When Fletch and Stanwyk first meet and Stanwyk asks Fletch to come to his home and hear his proposal, Stanwyk is wearing a suit/tie on top but is wearing jeans on the bottom. In the next wide shot as they leave the beach, and again in the next scene as they arrive at Stanwyk's house, he is wearing suit pants. (00:04:50)
Suggested correction: Stanwyck is never wearing jeans in any of the scenes, he's always wearing matching suit pants.
Continuity mistake: Jason chases Pam with a clean machete, however in the shot just before he's hit by the tractor, the machete is bloody. (01:10:40 - 01:11:20)
Continuity mistake: When Dorothy finds Tik Tok, there are cobwebs that hang from the wall beside him, and are draped on the side of Tik Tok's metal helmet. However in some shots these cobwebs that hang on his helmet vanish, then reappear again.
Continuity mistake: Check out the person in the back seat of the car behind Susan Sarandon who's not supposed to be there. I think he taps her on the shoulder.
Continuity mistake: When the balls start to bounce of the shelves, in one shot a basketball hits some tennis rackets which are hanging on the wall and a few of the rackets fall off the wall, but in the next shot the tennis rackets are hanging back up on the wall. (00:33:05)
Continuity mistake: When Jennifer finds the small boy, she removes a sheet from a mirror. In the next shot the sheet is draped back over the mirror again and then gone again. (01:35:50)
Continuity mistake: Towards the end when Rathe is about to fight Sherlock, among several things a sword magically appears at Holmes' feet.
Suggested correction: This is incorrect. Holmes carries a sword from the moment he and Watson leave the pyramid. He drops it to the ground when Elizabeth is shot and picks it up again to fight Rathe.
