Continuity mistake: In the shot after Gilbert is dipped and gets soaked in the fountain by the Alpha-Betas, when he is up on the podium, you notice that he is almost dry, only his head is wet. (01:21:25 - 01:23:00)
Continuity mistake: At the Record Label party, where the band meets Bobbi Fleckman, Nigel is wearing a coat. In another shot where the band meets Sir Dennis Eaton Hogg at the same party Nigel has no coat and different shirt.
Continuity mistake: Sunny, wearing black heels, runs up the stairs with the Emir. Then Sunny jumps the wall in white sneakers. Then a few seconds later she is then seen in black heels again. (01:17:50 - 01:18:10)
Continuity mistake: Right before the fight scene in the bowling alley, Gatsby Boy bowls a strike. However, when Hopper charges down the alley after him, the 7 pin is shown still standing.
Visible crew/equipment: In the dinner scene in "Her" Excellency garden, right after Lamia breaks the egg in her hands, there's a cameraman's reflection on the metal jug held by Max.
Revealing mistake: When the sheriff is going to whip Sarah, he tells her to take down her drawers. Bad editing, you see her hand reach back and make the motion as if she is pulling down her panties but it is visible they are still up.
Continuity mistake: When God and the Devil meet, God tells him that he wants the kid back. You see the Devil holding the cards in his hands. The camera angle changes and the cards are now on the table. The camera angle changes again and the cards are back in his hands. Happens about 3 times during the scene.
Continuity mistake: Chocolate Mousse and Deja Vu are playing darts on the plane at the end of the movie. In the next shot where Hillary is hugging her father, the darts change positions. (01:23:35)
Revealing mistake: When Roger is in the bathroom at the urinal, he can see Edwina's reflection in the mirror (as she is, supposedly, inhabiting his body). However, when Roger lets out a particularly big exhale, Edwina's bangs blow slightly upwards, showing that the "mirror" effect is achieved by simply having her stand behind a wall right in front of him. Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film, when Johnny is first climbing the stairway to his apartment, he climbs a flight, then there is a dissolve to imply that it's a very long stairway, and he's shown climbing another flight. You can see the ground floor only one flight below after the dissolve.
Continuity mistake: Early in the film, Vladimir and Anatoly are in Anatoly's car. The car has two dice hanging from the top of the windshield, but no rearview mirror. When Anatoly pulls up behind the gas truck, the dice are now hanging from a rearview mirror. (00:07:10)
Visible crew/equipment: During the car chase, when the taxi drives over the gas can and does the two wheel driving, you can see the ramp that flipped it up behind it. (01:01:25)
Plot hole: When we first see the reanimated Sparky, his head's sewed on. While that makes him look a bit like the traditional Frankenstein monster, it doesn't make a lot of sense - the original monster had stitches on its neck because it was made from multiple body parts, but it's not like they sawed the dog's head off after it died...
Suggested correction: Do we ever see how much damage the car did?
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, Buckaroo tests his oscillation overthruster. Sitting in his test vehicle he's wearing a wrap-around mirrored visor that reflects a full panorama of the desert area in front of him. There is a thick black divider running down the center of the windshield that is missing from the reflection. Also, since it is a panorama seen on the visor, the edges of the front windshield should be reflected on the sides.
Factual error: When Rob Lowe first arrives in Oxford he is driving down a street taking in the sights. Most of the sights he views are actually scattered throughout the town and not on any one street. This is especially true for Radcliffe Camera (part of the Bodlean Library) as it is in a cobblestone courtyard completely surrounded by buildings and cannot be viewed from any street.
Continuity mistake: When Charlotte hastily makes the bed and shoves Ted out onto the window ledge, the bed covers rearrange themselves between shots: a purple sheet that she'd tucked in before is now peeking out over the bedspread. (00:15:05)
Continuity mistake: Legionnaires are being mowed down left and right by enemy fire in a Nazi ambush. One of them falls into a road construction excavation. He falls on his back, but the close-up of his feet touching the power cable shows them facing down.
Visible crew/equipment: Whilst Inoue is talking with Yoshiko in secret, just after he says "No, the day after tomorrow I'll call you for sure", she lifts up her head slightly to make eye contact with him. When she does this, the film crew can be seen reflected in her glasses. (01:03:45)
Continuity mistake: The social worker takes "the brother" to stay for a while at a female friend's place. Her son, "little Earl" has a bandage on his left knee. He peels the bandage off and sets it on the floor to show "the brother alien" his injury. A medium shot shows there is no bandage on the floor. The "alien" puts his hand on the boy's knee, and heals it. The very next shot the bandage is back on the boy's knee and the scene continues.
Character mistake: The ref says there's no rules before McClure fights Whiplash but she tries stopping them later.
