Continuity mistake: After Ajax is arrested Swan goes to the station with "tough chick", the first time you see the train platform it's empty but a few seconds later a man has appeared from nowhere, then a policeman sees Swan and chases him and the man has once again vanished. (00:55:25)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Joe Gideon is helping his daughter with dance exercises and realises that it is time to put Michelle in a cab, he carries her out of the rehearsal studio with her facing forward and her legs wrapped around his back. They turn a corner to go outside and she magically is facing him arms around his neck and legs wrapped the other way around his waist. Also Michelle suddenly grows a yellow rain jacket. There is no time lapse in the dialog which would explain this turn.
Continuity mistake: In the playboy bunny scene, the helicopter's main rotor keeps on starting and stopping. (01:06:39)

Continuity mistake: There is an error in the scene where Dave is drafting behind the Cinzano truck. In the second close up shot of his legs (cranks) pedaling the bike he is in a lower (easier) gear than the previous shot even though he is supposed to be riding significantly faster.
Continuity mistake: When the stairs are first shown, there's carpet up the middle of the stairs. At the end when they flee the house it's gone.
Continuity mistake: During "Easy To Be Hard" a redheaded woman disappears and reappears on a park bench.
Continuity mistake: When the child serves the ice cream there is a difference in the size of the ice cream he serves and the spoonful he eats.
Continuity mistake: When Halloran sets the barn on fire to distract the Germans he lights up some straw with a match. All of a sudden you see flames flickering up at various places which could not be caused by the fire he made. (01:32:45)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Frank Morris arrives at Alcatraz, he has to take all his clothes off for a routine check. When the guards escort him to his cell you can see him wearing a pair of white boxers, but in the next scene (still walking) he is naked again and when placed into his cell you can see him wearing a pair of pants. Continuity mistake: Colour Sergeant Williams and Private Storey are miscredited as "Company Sergeant Major Williams" and "Corporal Storey." Neither is promoted over the course of the film, and both are not only addressed as "Colour Sergeant" and "Private," respectively, but also bear the rank insignia of a Colour Sergeant and a Private, respectively.
Continuity mistake: When Ryerston is dead already and is talking with Matt, the autopsy scar next to his neck keeps changing sides.
Continuity mistake: Go to the scene where the crowd is going to Golgaltha, along with the soldiers and Jesus. After they have taken off Jesus' clothes, and have tied him to the cross, they show a close-up of one of Jesus' hands, with a nail on-top, held by a soldier. Look closely - it's his left hand. Then the camera zooms out, and you can see the whole body of Jesus, and the soldier drives the nail into his right hand. Look at his left, and no nail is in it.
Continuity mistake: Whilst having dinner with the Rands, there is a brief shot where Chance's white wine glass is empty - it is full immediately before and afterwards. This is happens just before Mr. Rand launches into his "businessmen are just like gardeners" metaphor. (00:44:54)
Continuity mistake: When Bette Midler is in the phone booth toward the end of the film, calling home and crying, she empties out her purse on the little shelf. A huge roll of money is prominently placed amongst the coins and other items. From shot to shot it can be seen sitting upright and then on its side.
Continuity mistake: When the 2 wanderers are strolling, at the very beginning of the movie, a boom mike keeps getting reflected on all the cars.
Continuity mistake: When Mary Steenbergen and Malcolm MacDowell are in a restaurant and he's eating ice cream, his hand holding the ice cream spoon is in a different position when he's shown from the front than from when he's shown from the back - one way it's up, the other it's down. Also, the spoon disappears whenever the shot is from the back.
Continuity mistake: When Jonathan returns to his town and don't recognize his wife, his coat disappears in the next shot when he ask to the man beside him who she is. He didn't have the time to remove it. (01:14:15)
Continuity mistake: When Linda Blair deliberately knocks a plate of desserts into one of her suitor's lap, the tray hits him directly in the crotch and the camera shows this. Then there is a cut to Linda Blair's face and then a cut back to the boys clothing and the scene now shows the desserts all over his suit from the shoulders down.
Continuity mistake: On the beach, when Billy and TJ go swimming in the ocean, TJ is wearing his boxers when he runs into the water, but when they're both in the water TJ is wearing his blue shorts over the boxers. (01:35:20)
